Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you please tell me, is it possible to clamp a Super Clamp to the tripod legs? (For example: The Manfrotto 035RL which has a jaw opening of 2.1"). In advance, thank you for your help with this.

A: Yes that is possible. We even recommend this Impact Super Clamp with Ratchet Handle, B&H # IMCC106R, which also has a 2.1" opening. https://bhpho.to/2cFjAwj

Q: 2. Will this work with another wheel assembly? Looking to add it to the Ikan wheel set.

A: Unfortunately, it is unknown if this arm will work with another manufacturer's equipment.

Q: 3. can I mount the Manfrotto 509HD on here and still be able to mount the Kessler Crane KC-12 on top of the manfrotto head?

A: You should be able to mount any bowl head to the kpod with the right accessories. I don't have the kc-12, but I assume as long as the kc-12 has 1/4 or 3/8 mounting holes it should work with your manfrotto. That being said, I don't think you'll be satisfied with the setup as your manfrotto head won't be able to take on that much load. Crane + Camera + Counterweights would certainly go over the 29lb capacity of that head.

Q: 4. Can it fit the k-pod with wheels attached?

A: Yes, the Kessler Crane K-Pod Soft Case (Black) will hold the K-Pod with the wheels attached.

Q: 5. What are the dimensions when closed with the wheels attached? Looks amazing but might be too bulky and wide/thick

A: The Kessler Crane K-Pod Tripod System has a Folded Dimension of 39" x 10.75" x 10" and weight is 22lbs. With dolly attached it would add about 5 inches.

Q: 6. I UNDERSTAND THE TIRE IS 6" DIAMETER, WHAT IS THE WIDTH? 1.5?

A: The Kessler Crane 6" All-Terrain Wheels for K-Pod (B&H# KETH1007) are about 1" (2.5cm) thick.

Q: 7. can it also fit the wheels?

A: Yes, this case fits the wheels as well.

Q: 8. is everything included in the photos?

A: It is shipped complete as shown.

Q: 9. What is the weight capacity of this wheel set?

A: This set is for the Kessler Crane K-Pod Tripod System, BH #KETH1004, which has a 500 pound load capacity. https://bhpho.to/38YbcpG

Q: 10. 2 part question: does this include the dolly or just the brake? What was refurbished on the item?

A: This is a part for the Shuttle Dolly which is B&H # KECS1101, it does not include the dolly itself. However this is a new part, not refurbished.

[6" / 15 cm] Long after humans have disappeared from the earth, this tripod will still be supporting my crane. Seriously strong, well built.

[7.265 lb] These 3 rubber wheels are excellent. Never need air, soft and handle rough terrain. This was used on the Manfrotto dolly 114 version. bogen 3067.

[1/2"-13] Screwed into the base of my K-Pod flawlessly (nice threads). Seriously heavy duty wheel locks. Makes it easy to move the heavy payload around without breaking my back. Great that BH Had it in stock as they are hard to source.

[6" / 15 cm] Made right. Stout enough for whatever I want to mount to it, crane/jib, slider, camera head. The only thing I would improve is a way to lock the legs in closed position for transport, instead of the included strap. reasonable price.

[1/2"-13] I already own a small Kessler crane, and their Hercules head, connected with their superbly sturdy quick release system. I tried using a locally sourced (Australia) Manfrotto 20kg rated tripod to save money, but it was a false saving. One leg clamp slid down while I had a crane, weights, camera, monitor and pan/tilt head attached! Adjusting with an Alan key fixed it, but made me nervous about future wear and slippage. An urgent order through to B&H and the super solid K-Pod arrived. It is heavy - for a reason. Sturdily built with indented stops for the legs prevent any chance of slippage. After all, it is built to carry a person on a seat with their K-Flex add-on dolly system. Only one slight quibble. The soft bag doesn't fully close near to the tripod leg knobs. Perhaps this will change after the bag has been used for a while and gets more flexible.

[1/2"-13] I bought this tripod and the Kessler 100mm Ball Kit to support our Gluidecam Camcrane 200, after considering a number of alternatives. This set up is solid, and handles the weight and the inertia of the crane. Very Satisfied.

[6" / 15 cm] Very well built, heavy duty Tripod for a crane or a Jib. The legs lock very positively so you don't have to worry about slipping. Get the wheels. They are worth the investment.

[6" / 15 cm] You'll see a lot of comments about how this system is built like a tank. I don't necessarily think so. Now, no offence against tanks but I think this tripod system might survive an HE round better than most tanks! Okay, so I didn't test this particular conjecture but suffice to say it's heavy-duty! The other thing I really like about it is the concept of the lock pockets. I didn't know if I'd like them or not but what it does is makes it really easy to raise and lower the legs to a consistent length. Naturally, you can't set the legs precisely to a desired length, as you can't set it between the lock pockets - but there are enough of them to get close to any desired length that I'll likely need. And, with the bowl you can easily set the head to true (I'm using the Hercules 2.0 head.) The heavy duty nature of the system allows me to easily, quickly and securely move between my Kessler slider or any number of cameras. This requires the use of the Kessler Kwik release system - and I highly recommend that as well. All in all, I'm extremely happy with the purchase. Not the lightest system out there but definitely among the sturdiest and most secure. If you want to attach a slider (mine is 3') and not worry about wobble, this system will work well for you.

[7.265 lb] My Kessler tripod and Benro jib combo are now much more mobile thanks to these well made and reasonably priced wheels. Nice smooth effortless movement. There's nothing special about them but they perform the job very nicely.
