[0.275 lb] As is often the case, Novoflex adapters are made more3 carefully and fit more smoothly than less expensive adapters. The downside of course is that they also cost more. I think they are worth it to be sure that you do not damage the mount on the camera body or the lens. 5

[0.275 lb] My copy has zero play to either the Leica R lens-mount side or to the S1H L camera-mount side. Great value if you don't need the ROM info with the Leica SL/2/2S cameras. 5

[Leica L] This adapter makes the S lenses work on the SL similar to their function on the S. AF works, as does the aperture. AF isn't speedy but plenty adequate for most needs, the images are superb. I really enjoy this with the 70mm f2.5 as it is slight telephoto, making it both a portrait and landscape lens. Stitching landscapes with this combination gives me over 100Mp with 6 images. The adapter has its own tripod mount so the body doesn't distort with the heavier 180mm lens. AF is more accurate with the SL than the S with this adapter/lens combination. 5

[0.275 lb] This adapter exceeded my expectations. It correctly identifies SL ROM equipped lenses and transmits the Exif data to the SL. This includes zoom settings, e.g., 65 on the 35-70 Vario-Elmar-R when the lens is set to 65. The tripod foot is incredibly sturdy and easily removed without tools. Great Leica design. This is a must for those who have, or want to acquire, R glass. 5

[Leica L] Une major disadvantage is that it will no allow updating the firmware of the S lenses. The firmware must be updated with a Leica S Typ 007. After the firmware is updated the adapter and S lens work jus as expected with the Leica SL2 5
