A: No, I am sorry but it does not, in order to use VGA you would need a converter box to transfer the signal to analog.

Q: 8. Are both inputs active all the time? In other words can I plug in 2 analog inputs and play them out of the digital output? Thank you

A: Only one stereo analog input should be used to go to two stereo digital outputs.

Q: 9. does this thing require power or can be powered via HDMI cable?

A: Mine came with a brick that plugs into the wall. 5.0 V at 1.5 A
