$389.97 $503.06

A simple, yet powerfully effective tool for content creators, the Blue Yeti USB Microphone - Blackout Editionis a USB mic offering a broadcast-quality sound, a rugged design, and multiple recording modes to suit your needs. The Yeti, offfered here in a blackout finish, has become a go-to mic for people who record podcasts, and who stream on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Live, and other similar platforms.

The multiple mic modes allow virtually any kind of content creator to do their thing with precision and ease. Use the cardioid setting to reject off-axis noise, minimizing room tone even when speaking directly into the mic. If you're recording with one other guest, select the Bidirectional polar pattern; now, you can speak into the front, while the guest speaks into the back, and the sides of the mic will reject unwanted room noise. Choose omnidirectional to pickup audio all around the capsule, which is great for work that features multiple voices. Finally, a stereo mode is wonderful for ASMR content or for recording music. A desktop stand and a USB cable are included, as is a suite of VO!CE software FX to improve your sound.

This mic is perfect for recording directly to computers, be they mac or windows systems. With the right, separately available adapters, you can also record with Android and iOS devices.

Yeti features controls for headphone volume, pattern selection, instant mute and microphone gain—putting you in charge of every level of the recording process. If you're experiencing distortion or feedback while recording an especially loud source, simply adjust the microphone's sensitivity with the gain control. Or, if you want to take a break in the middle of a podcast, use the instant mute button. Also, the included stand allows for pivoting in a variety of angles for ideal placement, with the added functionality of folding the mic down for storage and transport.

The mic has an integrated headphone amp with an independent gain control for latency-free monitoring. Simply plug your headphones into the mic's 3.5mm input, and you'll hear your broadcast-quality audio in all its glory.

The mic records audio at 16-bit / 48 kHz, giving you the broadcast standard for media playback. On the audio side, the tri-capsule design ensures that whatever mode you choose, the mic will pick up a clear and present sound.

Just plug the Yeti into your computer's USB port with the included USB cable, select it as a device in your recording software, and you're ready to get to work. The Yeti runs off your device's power, so no need to plug it into a wall. With driver-free operation, you won't have to download pesky software to get it up and running.

Blue VO!CE software is included, giving you an array of high-quality vocal filters, FX, and samples to showcase your voice in the best light. You'll find the following FX on hand:

  • High-pass filter
  • Noise reduction filter
  • Expander/gate
  • De-esser
  • Voice EQ
  • Compression
  • Limiter

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this be used with Dragon Naturally Speaking or Windows Dictation, Google Speech, etc. In other words, will it work for speech to text microphone?

A: I do not see why not.

Q: 2. will this work for xbox one online purposes?

A: The Blue Yeti is designed for connection to a computer for audio recording applications. Although it is possible the unit may operate with other devices, the manufacturer does not recommend the unit for these devices and may not operate the way it is intended. Unfortunately we would not be able to confirm use other than intended by Blue.

Q: 3. Is it compatible with Windows 10?

A: The Blue Yeti is compatible with Windows 10

Q: 4. Does anyone successfully power the blue yeti with wall outlet and record the voice directly to your camera? I have tried iphone and ipad charger, and it only shows power on, but camera shows no audio. Anyone can help?

A: The Blue Yeti is a digital mic that is powered by the USB port of the device it is connected to and can only be used to record audio to digital devices such as Mac and Windows computers, and can also be used with smartphones and tablets when paired with an appropriate adapter. The Yeti cannot be powered with a wall adapter and does not provide a mic level analog audio signal for direct connection to a camera's mic input. However, when using the Yeti with a computer, you can use the headphone output which provides a line level analog audio signal intended for headphones. Just as with a recorder's headphone output, you can use a line-to-mic attenuating cable such as the Kopul ACH4-25MON (B&H # KOACH425MON) or Kopul ACDR-35 (B&H # KOACDR35) for compatibility with a camera's mic level input. If a longer cable is needed to reach the camera's mic input, just add a 3.5mm TRS extension cable such as the Pearstone Stereo Mini Male to Stereo Mini Female Extension Cable - 10' (B&H # PEMMSB110B). As another option, the Blue Yeti Pro USB & XLR Microphone (B&H # BLYETIPRO) provides an analog mic level output signal via XLR as well as a digital output via USB.

Q: 5. will this work online calls like skype and messenger?

A: You may use the Blue Yeti USB Microphone for skype and online messenger but it is best to use it with headphones as the potential for feed-back exists when the microphone is capturing the audio from the computer speakers and sends it back to the skype or messenger call.

Q: 6. Are there any USB microphones that work with digital handheld recorders?

A: Hi. If youre looking for a combo that can be used as both a USB and an XLR mic (the kind that plugs into something like the Zoom H4n or TASCAM DR-05), check out Audio Technicas AT2005USB or AT2100-USB. They both are about $65-90 and sound a great deal like professional broadcast mics that cost considerably more. I use my AT2100 with a Zoom H4n to record training video voice overs.

Q: 7. does it have an international warranty ?

A: No. The included warranty would be a 2-Year manufacturers USA Warranty

Q: 8. good for piano?

A: This microphone will record a piano.

Q: 9. What's the recommended configuration of the mic? There's no shock mount included, and with the Yeti attached to the reflection filter, there isn't enough room for cables.

A: The Yeti shockmount (BLRADIUSIIBO) can be used on a mic stand. It allows room for the cable.

Q: 10. Where are the Blue mics made?

A: Regarding the Blue Yeti, our current inventory's Country of Origin is China. Please be aware this can change over the product's production life without notice.

[Bus Power] I use this kit to record narration for videos and it's perfect for my needs, helping me filter out unwanted ambient noise while making my voice sound natural and intimate. Great value if you're looking for a nice little starter kit to make your work sound more polished.

[Large Diaphragm] its the yeti... not much to add to the info that's already out there. it does all the things, and it's one of the all-around nicest USB mics in the ~$100 price range.

[Large Diaphragm] I needed a mic to give me better quality audio than I could get with the MacBook mic for some video poems I am creating. The usb came right up on the MacBook Pro. Seems to have a large diaphragm that records great sound. Great choice for pod casting.

[Mono / Stereo] This is the 2nd Yeti Pro mic that I've gotten and it is perfect, especially for the price, versatility, and ease of use. I use it for everything from podcasting to music demos with vocals and acoustic instruments and the audio is always crystal clear. You honestly can't go wrong with Blue, they've become a household name for a reason.

Do yourself a favor and pick one of these up or any of their USB mics, they're worth every penny.

[Mono / Stereo] I recently purchased this mic for our church as we transitioned more to online streaming. What a HUGE improvement it was from the first time we plugged it in. We stream from a Mevo camera to our platform and the sound was horrible. This was literally a plug and play making it super easy to get things connect and the 4 modes for capturing sound quality s great! We weren’t quite sure what type of mic would work best in our space, but being able to easily switch to different modes was great. Definitely a great mid level mic that has some great sound! Read lots of good reviews too which was another reason we went with this.

[3.665 lb] I'm not an expert on microphones or sound systems. From a layman's standpoint, this microphone catches sounds clearly. It's also pleasantly heavy and sturdy. A solid product!

[3.665 lb] I bought this to upgrade the sound quality for my online piano lessons. I had been using just the mic on the Logitech C920 camera. The voice and music quality is excellent, much better than the camera mic.
