You have two options to adjust the aperture with this setup; you may either keep the built-in aperture ring on the ZEISS Otus 85mm f/1.4 ZF.2 Lens for Nikon F wide-open at f/1.4, and you may use the blue ring on the Novoflex adapter to adjust the brightness of your image, or vice-versa, you may keep the blue ring of the Novoflex lens adapter wide open, and use the built-in aperture ring on the ZEISS Otus 85mm f/1.4 ZF.2 Lens for Nikon F to adjust the lens' aperture for your exposure needs. You may need to adjust your ISO and shutter speed (if you are shooting manually) to adjust the brightness of your scene.

[0.25 lb] The first lens I used this for was an18mm m lens on my sl. Fit and operation was perfect. Snug fit for both the lens and camera body. Roughly 1400 photos later no light leakage. Still snug fit. Was what I expected. I have purchased two more and plan to leave them on the lens for more rapid changes. 5

[0.25 lb] My copy has zero play to either the Leica R lens-mount side or to the S1H L camera-mount side. Great value if you don't need the ROM info with the Leica SL/2/2S cameras. 5

[Leica L] To be able to use some of my 'old' A mount lenses on the Leica SL is a bonus. I use an old Minolta fisheye lens which, although not great, works well for certain effects and nothing in the Leica range of lenses is similar. The adapter is very well made, solid and very exactingly built and I love the combination. 5

[0.25 lb] My two old M Mount lenses fit very nicely on my Panasonic S5 with this adapter. No noticeable wiggle or play on the camera or lens connection, which I’ve had on cheaper adapters. 5

[0.25 lb] I had to go through 2 adapters (K&F and Urth) before finally settling on Novoflex. It's more expensive but the attachment is rock-solid, no slop or wobble. You get what you pay for. Case in point. 5

[Leica L] I bought a cheap $35 adapter from another shop and it almost broke my camera mount as it would not come off. Was way too tight. I finally managed to get it loose and immediately spent the bucks on this adapter. I use it on my Panasonic S1 for M mount lenses. No need for the Leica branded one that costs more as the S1 does not read the Leica M 6 Bit Code. This is all you need, and its the best I have seen when it comes to adapters. Flawless. 5
