Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what connection is used on the back side of the plate?

A: Connections are three set screws bearing down on silver plates...tin your wires and trim to a quarter inch, then inserrt each under the plate and tighten down the set screws...could not be easier...first you might place a heat shrink tube on the cord (heat shrink inside diameter large enuff to fit over the set screw mounting) and that will help prevent the cord from being yanked out...

Q: 2. Is this shock mount appropriate for the Razer Seiren Emote mic?

A: No, the DPA Microphones Microphone Shock Mount UA0897 would not be an appropriate choice for this mic. I would suggest a universal shock mount such as the Rycote InVision Universal Microphone Shock Mount (BH #RYINVUSM).

Q: 3. What size mic diameter is this for?

A: I use it on camera and on a boom with the Rode NTG 3, Sennheiser MKH-50 and sometimes a MKE-600 which all have slightly different diameters and shapes (the MKH-50) and it can easily take at least 50% wider and 50% thinner mics than these. It's a very stable and sturdy solution and the rubber bands don't come off as easily as they do on other offers I've tried.

Q: 4. Is it possible to mount this directly to the Wooden Camera C100 Top Plate without additional hardware?

A: The Wooden Camera Microphone Shock Mount ships with a 1/4 screw in addition to the pictured 3/8 that will allow mounting to the Wooden Top Plate.

Q: 5. To clip it on your eyeglass arm as a boom aimed at your mouth, would it pull too much on one's plastic eyeglass frame to be able to walk while wearing it?

A: That would not work well that way.

Q: 6. What is a good boom pole for a mic like this?

A: I only use mine mounted in a flash shoe either on camera or on my camera platform. The attached cable is about 18 long. Unless you buy an extension cable a pole won't work.

Q: 7. What transmitter is this headset compatible with?

A: The Audio-Technica AT889cW is compatible with current Audio Technica UniPak transmitters which feature a 4 pin locking Hirose connector. This includes the 1800, 2000, and 3000 series as well as the System 9 and 10 series.

Q: 8. Will this microphone work with a Vixia G21?

A: Yes, it will.

Q: 9. Will this mic work with the Leica SL2S?

A: Yes. The Audio-Technica AT8024 Stereo/Mono Camera-Mount Microphone BH #AUAT8024 • MFR #AT8024is plug and play compatible with the Leica SL2-S Mirrorless Digital Camera.

Q: 10. Will this work with a Rode PSA-1 mic boom? I was hoping it was a little more substantial than some of the other low-end shock mounts.

A: This mount will connect to the Rode PSA1. It will require the 3/8 to 5/8'' adapter that was included with the PSA1. If you do not have that adapter, here's one you can purchase: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1083040-REG/auray_ad_combo_b_5_8_to_3_8.html.

Item was brand new sealed, Super fast shipping!! This the second one I've owned, first one lasted over 10 years, which I still have, but now use as back up. Clips on strong, is flexible and sturdy to position as wanted. Windscreen fits snug. Love this product, I use this on my accordion. Awesome!!!!!

I bought this to replace my Samson's broken mount. This feels sturdier and seems to be made slightly better. The sprung hinge also feels less weak. Get it as a backup!

Purchased to replace exact item that unfortunately found a new home other than mine. Works like a champ. But then again so did the first one. Sigh!

Sturdy construction, easy to install. The terminals on the back of the XLR are screw type so you don't have to mess with soldering. The rubber insert is sturdy, yet flexible. We used an Audio Technica gooseneck condenser mic with this mount and are very pleased with it.

This a good quality Mic mount, it would not scratch your instrument. I bought it for my brother's accordion, the clip on part is smooth, too bad his microphone was too big for it. I wish it would come with a self mounting device for attaching it to any instrument. Over all I think it's of good quality, and a great price.

I am using this to replace the incorrect mount for our pulpit microphone. Not only does it hold the microphone in place, but it also cuts down dramatically on vibration noise as someone walks up to the pulpit. It was easy to install. However, it would have been nice if it had come with an already wired XLR attached, but the connections were very user-friendly. ...

Bought this to replace another mount that I had on a podium. Like the idea that it is shock mounted.
