Q: 1. Will MCS Format frames accommodate metal photos if not using glass?

A: The MCS Format Frame (Black, 11 x 14") would not be able to handle the thickness of most photos that are mounted on metal. However, there are metallic inkjet papers and those can be used in this frame.

Q: 2. Will a mounted photo fit in this frame? I mount all my 8x12s on 1/8 styrene.

A: If you remove the matboard that it comes with--probably. Why not get one from Michaels and test it out before buying a bunch? Beware of the shoddy quality

A: No I had to trim the front cover to make it fit the frame is fine if you don't mind losing the album cover and some diy

A: Yes, black. I have a dozen of these...work for me....small posters fill entire frame, and easy to change out which I do annually.

A: Yes, the black frame is plastic, but it is very thin in its frontal view. The glass is real, having very convenient smoothed edges making it easy to handle and clean. The farming of documents and photographs is easy. The frames are suitable for low profile uses when cost is a factor.

A: The weight is approx. 13 ounces

Q: 8. Will these frames hold prints that are matted?

A: A matte will be too thick, this will hold a photo only.

Q: 9. I have a picture inside the frame since 1987 and I now wants to remove the picture from the frame. How do I do this? The model is Rinx and its 12 X 9 Thank you.

A: The frame is flexible, you should be able to just bend it slightly and pop out the glass and then take out the photo.

Q: 10. Is the frame deep enough to accommodate a magazine?

A: I'm sorry, no, just a photo or document.

[Plastic] I use this frame for 4x6 photos ofcourse because it is the simplest and fastest frame available. In addition I use it to frame some of my collection of militaria such as Patches and Pilots Wings which show very well against the frames Black Background. I also use this frame to maintain a collection of small Film Posters which borders a large Bookcase DVD collection. 5
