Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this hold pages that are 9.62 x 13.25" (244 x 337 mm)?

A: Yes, the 9.62 x 13.25" ClearFile Archival-Plus Print Page, Holds Eight 4 x 6" Prints - 100 Pack, B&H # CLP468100, would be compatible for use with the Print File Grand Premium Archival Oversized Album Binder (Black), B&H # PRBAGB.

Q: 2. How many negative slide sheets will this hold?

A: It is possible to fit 50+ negative slide sheets in this Besfile Archival Binder.

Q: 3. What is the max sleeve width?

A: 11.5 x 12 x 2.5" / 29.2 x 30.5 x 6.3 cm is the outside dimensions for this oversized binder. The pages for it are about 10x11" or just over. You would not want to put anything larger than say 11x12 inside or it will stick out.

Q: 4. Does the polypropylene make it difficult for the binder to stay open when looking at pages of photos because the customer photo attached to this item makes it seem pretty stiff..? Also are the edges rough/sharp?

A: Hello. No. I haven't found the polypropylne to make it difficult for the binder to stay open when looking at pages. While it does look pretty stiff from the photos, mine have been sturdy but not stiff. Also, I haven't found the edges to be rough nor sharp. These are also pretty lightweight when empty. I would recommend making sure they are closed properly so no dust gets in. It's actually pretty easy to close, it's just that you have to be sure you line up the cover to close over to the back side of the case. Sometimes I've been in a rush closing it and forget this tiny adjustment. Good luck. And you know with B&H that if these don't meet your needs, it's always easy to return.

Q: 5. Will this fit the Print File 6 strips of 6 frames storage sheets? (B&H # PR356625 MFR # 010-0050)

A: We use with sheets for slide storage. Your pages for negative strips appear too wide at 10 inches. Box is only 10-1/4 wide so your sheets will protrude as they move around the binder rings. Look at the larger boxes suggested on the PrintFile info sheet for your pages.

Q: 6. what is the long dimension of this album?

A: The LD is 13.4".

Q: 7. What is the product number of the slip case shown in the photo for this binder? PS - You should be including a statement that the case is not included if you are showing it in the product photos...

A: The slip cover for that album is Print File G-BSLIP Slipcase for ALB-BG Album B&H # PRSCALBGA MFR # 080-1552.

Q: 8. Is there a pocket on the outside for a label or other way to ID contents?

A: No, you can use an adhesive label.

Q: 9. Will this hold pages that are 11" wide including the portion the the hole punches? (10.5" is usable) or will that stick out of the side?

A: The Print File Grand Premium Archival Oversized Album Binder (Black) is not compatible with pages wider than 9.5".

Q: 10. Can this fit a sheet of 35mm negative with 7 strips of 6 frames (BH #PR357625)?

A: Yes it can!

[75] Accommodates large S-series sheets, as stated in the description. I use it for pages set up for 8 portrait-oriented 4x6 photos. The photos slide in fairly easy. This is an important feature considering that on the back of the page (bottom row) you have to push the pictures in from the front. Pictures do not shift once in their sleeves and the sheets fit easily into this D-ring, oversized album binder.

[G-Series] Exactly what I was looking for

[1.5"] I needed a better way to keep my 8x12 and 8x10 prints ready at hand. So 8x12 works well. I purchased G-series pages as well. The album sides are firm. Not floppy. Not slippy. And D-rings are my preferred type. It has a 2-1/4 spine. Sometime I think that's too big. Sometimes I think it makes it easier to turn the pages. Depends on the phases of the moon I guess.

[1.5"] I'm generating a lot of prints in my darkroom and this album was the perfect easy way to preserve them by popping them into Printfile pages inside.

[1.35 lb] I'm buried in ancestor portraits and snapshots having inherited photo albums/collections from great grandparents, grandparents and parents. This Archival Binder is just what I was looking for to store the keepers in PrintFile pages and sleeves. The D-rings also make it possible to store a lot more pages that traditional ) O-rings binders.

[Buckram Cloth] I've started using these for all of my darkroom work. They are easy to work with and sturdy, and look good on the shelf.

[Buckram Cloth] I've been hauling several totes around full of my photos every time I moved for the last 35 years. I don't do anything with them, so in an attempt to make some space in my storage unit I pulled all the negatives and discarded the photos. I was able to empty 7 full totes of photos and I put all the negatives in the binder. It's exactly what I was looking for. It's not going to protect your negatives from fire or a roof collapsing earthquake, but that's fine because I'll have either burnt to death or been crushed from the collapsed roof.

[1.35 lb] This is a great system. Pair the album with the pages and you'll make a nice portfolio for yourself. I have several of these albums and they do not disappoint. Simple, yes, but quite nice. Not quite suitable for long term storage, unless you put the album in an enclosure for dust protection.

[75] The Print File Grand Premium Archival Oversized Album Binder (Black) is an excellent product that was speedily delivered.   It would however be more beneficial to both the potential customer and B & H to cite or link in their online catalogue to the Pan-Vue 6 x 6 cm slide pages and vice-versa so as to avoid confusion.  Also it would be beneficial for B & H to cite in the Pan-Vue 6 x 6 cm product description that the sleeves are in fact oversized and require an oversized album binder.
