Make an HDMI screen an SDI multiview monitor with DECIMATOR's DMON-16SL 16-Channel SDI Multiveiwer. The DMON-16SL has a built-in interface so it can be controlled without needing a computer. Adjustments can also be made via a computer connected with the included USB cable. Having both of these interfaces precludes the need for obscure LED status lights or complicated DIP switches.

The DMON-16SL features 16 SDI inputs which support SD,HD, and 3G-SDI standards. Inputs have auto-detection so video streams are displayed correctly. Each input is separate from the others, allowing multiple video frame rates and resolutions to be displayed simultaneously when running as a multi-viewer. The on-screen layout can be changed to display the windows in the position and size of your choosing. A pass-through mode will show only a single input on the display at a time, scaling the video to match the resolution of your display.

Q: 2. I have three 23.98 camera inputs, two at 1080P and one at 1080PsF, will I be able to scale and HDMI output at 1080P 60?

A: You might want to contact the manufacturer directly. This product has a lot of features and allows many different frame rates and resolutions to display all at once or individually on screen

Q: 3. Can this take PAL as an input?

A: Yes, the DMON-QUAD 4-Channel Multiviewer does accept PAL format signals, such as 1080p resolution at 50 fps.

Q: 4. I need to input a 1080p59.94 and output 1080p30, Will this model do that? If not which will? Plus audio passthrough? Thanks!

A: Yes! But if you are only using one signal/camera, you should look at the MD-HX.

Q: 5. Could this be used as a mini switcher? Needing to be able to go between two inputs using the buttons on the decimator without any break in signal to the output.

A: No. That would not be recommended, as this is not wired like a proper switcher and you will more than likely have a break in signal when switching from one source to the other.

Q: 6. So this just made or can basically make any SDI or HDMI monitor into a split screen monitor, showing up to four cameras from their SDI outputs? (Sorry to ask Sorry to ask what may seem like a simple question, there are so many decimeters, it's a bit confusing.)

A: Not a problem. The DECIMATOR DMON-QUAD 4-Channel 3G-SDI Multiviewer does take 4 sources and output to a single monitor showing all 4 sources in their own quadrants. The product also offers further capability in user customized layouts and labeling each window.

A: Yes, the SDI ports on the DMON-QUAD are shielded.

A: The Decimator DMON-Quad can be used to show any number of windows from 1-4 and the windows can be arranged in custom layouts to give you control over how they are positioned.

[1x HDMI] This quad multiviewer is awesome. I love decimator design products. It has so much versatility. UMD, tally, audio monitoring. The only negative is it isn't easily manipulated to make a layout. The default layouts are decent but if you want to be able to change a layout design on the fly this isn't your guy. I still give it 5 stars. There is quite a lot of versatility in this little package. 5

[1x HDMI] The features of the Decimator DMON QUAD is absolutely incredible. I have my three cinema cameras hooked up to it and Im outputting to a older pc monitor. I own several monitors but wanted to make use of a older DVI only input monitor so bought a dvi to hdmi cable. At first the monitor wouldnt recognize the signal but the Decimator has a selectable output option one of which is DVI. Who would have thought? Works like a charm. I havent yet connected the Decimator to my pc to create custom window layouts but the default layouts are perfect for what I need. The Decimator DMON QUAD outputs 1080p or lower resolutions. Thats not a problem at all! All of my recording is done in camera or on a dedicated recorder at higher resolutions. I purchased the Decimator as a multiview for a directors monitor. I can choose between having fullscreen for any input and switching between them or having two, three, or four screens up all at once. I can also choose to have one large and two small, etc. This is all through the buttons on the front of the device and come as default. There are endless settings in there for input and output, framerate and everything else. They thought of everything. The compatibility is amazing. I was amazed to find that there is virtually no lag from my cameras to the monitor. Even when all screens are up. Everything displays in realtime. You can tell they used quality electronics inside the device. The device itself is made out of aluminum and is extremely durable and very well built. I originally thought it was made of red plastic until I received it. The features and settings suit any and every situation. 5

[1x USB-A] I have 2 Komodo cams and needed a way to feed them both into my Osee monitor and switch between them when needed. While this is definitely easier to use with the software it is also very functional in standalone mode. It does not take much time to wrap your head around using it without the software. It can feed out in multiple ways without any issues and cameras of different frame rates work with any problems. It is an excellent solution that does not get in the way on set. 5
