Designed for musicians, DJs, entertainers, houses of worship, discos, and other venues, the Crown XLi 3500 Stereo Power Amplifierfeature both RCA and XLR inputs as well as speakON and binding post outputs. The amplifier includes a user-selectable input sensitivity of 0.755V or 1.4V, stereo/parallel-bridge-mono modes, power/fault/signal presence/clip LED indicators, forced-air cooling, and protection against shorts, no-load, on/off thumps, and interference from radio frequencies in the environment.

Drawing from over six decades of experience in building amplifiers, the unit is capable of delivering 1350W per channel at 4 ohms, 1000W per channel at 8 ohms, and 2700W at 8 ohms in bridged-mono mode..

A: I am sorry but there are no details posted in the product information or specifications regarding whether the power switch would need to be pressed again after a power outage. The Crown Audio XLi 1500 Stereo Power Amplifier does have a circuit breaker with a reset switch on the back panel to protect the amp from a surge. The circuit breaker may activate if there is a power outage and then you would press the reset button and most likely would have to press the power switch again to turn the amp on.

[2] I bought a pair of these XLi 3500s in December 2017 to power a pair of JBL VRX918S subs. They are running bridged and at 8 ohms are pushing 2700 watts per sub. Using a 3 way electronic crossover so the subs are in stereo. It takes 3 amplifiers per channel, the way I have them set up. These are amazing. Words cannot describe how well they blend with the JBL 15s and the high speakers. Channel 1 gain is usually between a quarter to a hair under half way up. Some songs have heavier bass than others. These amps never disappoint. 5

[42 lb] This Amplifier works great. I installed it in a small church worship center for Front of House sound. For the money, you get a very nice amp. They are using it for 2x 15 inch 8 Ohm speakers. 5

[2 RU] Using this amp in church auditorium sound system without any problems thus far. Well built, cost effective and good sounding. This amp is a proven, old school design, using class AB topology with heavy Toroidal transformer and large capacitors versus more widely used feather-weight class D amp design. Both amp designs work OK in commercial settings. Being old school, I just like the sound of class AB amp better than class D. Only con? Yeah, it's heavy. 5

[2 RU] Using this to power two separate mono signals (one not yet connected), for primary sound in the church sanctuary and secondary sound in classrooms and nursery. Plenty of power for the speaker (TOA 38-SD 8Ohm) makes the whole space sound great! Some specific features which are appreciated: separate gains for each channel allow full power of two outputs with disparate needs. Simple intuitive light indicators and power button. Automatic muting during warmup avoids the accidental pop when turning on the Amp, particularly useful for turning off the amp between uses and avoiding 24/7 power drain when not necessary. 5

[120 VAC, 60 Hz ] I am using one of these to power (2) Dayton 18 Subwoofers and it does a fantastic job. I know that fan noise is a major concern when using pro audio amps for home systems, but these fans are dead quiet. And B&H had this amp to me NEXT DAY with free shipping.
