The hinged, side-opening design allows easy installation of camera/lens combinations and gives access to controls even when the housing is mounted. Power and video cabling can be routed via feed-through fittings or external 4-pin power and BNC connectors at the rear of the housing. Feed-through entry holes in the base allow for even better cable management. Mounting holes in the base can be used to install the housing on a wide range of pan/tilt brackets, adjustable heads, and various other camera mounting brackets. The unit comes with tamper-resistant screws for the locking clasps to prevent unauthorized access.

The aluminum housing has two heaters, one for window defrosting and one for the housing interior, and a blower. The interior heater maintains the internal temperature of the housing in cold temperature conditions to extend the lower temperature limit to -40°F (-40°C). The permanently powered window defroster heater and blower minimize fogging in high humidity locations.

With a sleek design that meets IP66 and NEMA-4X standards, this housing is suitable for protecting your video surveillance equipment from adverse weather conditions.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hello, how hot is this lamp? I want to use it in my studio. is kind of small. And I am afraid to burn it out? does the light has a dimmer?

A: Yes - This instrument gets hot - but you should be able to lamp it with 575 W or 750 W HPL bulbs. No dimmer is built into the instrument,

Q: 2. Does this enclosure have a germanium window version?

A: The Bosch UHO-POE-10 Outdoor Camera Housing and PoE+ Power Supply for DINION Cameras BH #BOUHOPEO10 is not offered in a germanium window version.

Q: 3. Will the speed ring that comes with this light accept medium Quartz + Daylite softboxes from Chimera as well?If not, what is the speed ring diameter for this light, so I can seperately purchase one that fits my needs?

A: As the ARRI Arrilite 750 Plus comes with an accessory holder that allows you to use softboxes without speedrings, if you are referring to either the Chimera Quartz Plus Softbox - Medium - 36x48 (90x120cm), B&H # CHQPBM, or the Chimera Quartz Plus 1 Bank - Medium - 36x48 (91x122cm), B&H # CHQP1BM, then yes, both should be able to connect to the Arrilite 750 without the purchase of a separate speedring.

Q: 4. Does this kit come with lamps?

A: Yes: as indicated under the In The Box tab, the FKW LAMP (300w/120v), 2 x FRK Lamp - 650 Watts/120 Volts, and the 750W HPL LAMP 120V are included with the Arri Softbank I Tungsten 4 Light Kit (120V AC).

Q: 5. will a dinion IP starlight 7000 fit in this housing?

A: The camera is a little bit wider that this housing.

Q: 6. The spec sheet says this light accepts 750, 575 and 375W HPL lamps, but I couldn't find any 375W HPL lamps with a G9.5 base on B&H. Where can I find an appropriate one for a 220VAC, 50Hz socket?

A: Jay - I would have to say if B&H doesn't carry any 375W HPL lamps with a G9.5 base, then they REALLY must be tough to find. I bought the Arrilite 750 Plus specifically because I was looking for a high output light. I coupled it with the 36x48 Chimera Medium Video Pro Plus 1 Softbox. A powerful, super creamy soft light had been recommended by DPs Alex Buono and Shane Hurlbut for solo filmmakers ( like myself ). Something that would be powerful and easy to set up and break down. I added the Impact D1000 1,000W AC Dimmer Control to give me some flexibility without worrying about changing out lamps. Both the Arrilite 750 Plus and the Chimera Softbox work great together, and do produce a lovely wrap-around light for interview subjects - which was my need. Maybe the dimmer is an idea for you? Hope this helps . . .

Q: 7. Could you put in a led light bulb in here?

A: It would greatly depend on the size of the LED bulb, as not all are made with a base that is narrow enough to fit the socket of this flood lamp.

Q: 8. Do the bulbs blow as easily as lowel pro light bulbs?

A: Do you touch the bulb when placing it in the fixture? One of the first things I was taught on my first job was never touch a bulb when inserting it into the fixture. The oils on your hand gets on the bulb and when turned on, the oils heat up and the bulb will blow. I've had both Arri's(currently this 150 and a 300) and Lowel lights over the years and never had bulbs go out prematurely in either brand. While I believe Arri makes a more durable light than Lowel, you shouldn't have bulb issues if A) Buy a quality bulb, B) Never touch the bulb and C) Handle your lights with more care than an ABC7 news crew.

Q: 9. Can I plug this light directly to wall outlet?

A: Yes

Q: 10. Will the 12 reflector take a Westcott 50w CFL bulb? I know these bulbs are big, with a wide base.Thanks.

A: No, they won't fit. That lamp base is too broad and the reflector narrows to merge with the bulb holder.

[Supply: 120 VAC] I needed a small, easy utility light. Arri gear, in general, is quality, and this light is no exception. It's perfect for a back kicker, an overhead pool to draw attention to a certain part of the frame, or to use as a source for a practical lamp. The 150s are the scalpels of the industry. They can't dim on their own, but with the Impact D1000 dimmer it's unbeatable. I brought this on an independent shoot and it saved many shots. Also, skin loves tungsten light.

[Supply: 120 VAC] Very versatile little light. Heats up but thats generally not a factor. Good for subtle background lighting or highlighting hair. Can use it for product shots too, a little more predictable than flash. Quality item, as always from Arri. No matter how enamored you are of your strobe equipment, you need at least one of these.

[IP66, NEMA-4X] I use this light mostly as a hair light or to hilight a product or item in the background. Excellent quality, versatile. Small, packs easily. I use a dimmer as necessary to control levels. Do use the barndoors - necessary to control spill.

[IP66, NEMA-4X] This is the perfect hairlight. Of course it works for lots of other things as well, but I got it specifially as a hairlight because it works so well. Also, it's incredibly well made.

[Supply: 120 VAC] I always wanted one of these... 20 yrs ago in film school I did a lot of stop motion work and always wanted a smaller light than little tweenies... Now, I wanted it as a hair light...basically power didn't matter too much, it was just that the lighter and smaller the light, the quicker it is to give dark haired people that little kick (especially if the background is dark)---this is for anything, I work on features, music videos, and docs...) Well, sensors are so much more powerful than the film stocks from back in the day, wow! This is so much more powerful now. In a pinch, I could use it as a key (with lots of diffusion) for an interview. It cools really well, and the flood/spot control is really smooth (as to be expected from Arri), and this is just one of the little, but hugely important differences between this light and cheapie redheads.

[8 lb] This light is great for backgrounds, hair light, or just a low watt Hollywood key. Always in my kits.

[8 lb] I use these Arri Fresnel light for short films, music videos and interviews. They are light weights and easy/smooth to focus.

[IP66, NEMA-4X] In addition to use it for photos, this light brings sunshine to my living room in cold and cloudy days. Arri ESP 150w is Ushio ESP 150w (MFG Code 1000362) with an Arri label. Ushio ESP is about $10 on the internet. GE ESP 150w does NOT fit, the contact points are about 2mm longer than Ushio and cannot be used for this light.

[8 lb] I am using the Losmandy 120 Volt AC to 15 Volt DC Adapter to power a Gemini 2 System for a Losmandy G-11 equatorial mount. The adapter is effective and works as advertised. I no longer get low voltage warnings, when powering up the Gemini 2 unit, as I did when powering from a 12 Volt DC battery. This Power Adapter is compact, which helps reduce clutter in my small observatory dome.

[IP66, NEMA-4X] Great addition for a lightweight travel interview lighting kit. I use this primarily as a hair light or to add interest to a background. You can't beat the light quality from a fresnel lens. You always need at LEAST one hard light in your interview kit. 150w isn't that bright but perfect for talking heads interviews. The ability to spot and flood the light as well as shape it with barn-doors is essential to having a hard light. If you can't afford the Dedolight 150 (which is brighter than this light but roughly the same size) this is the light for you.
