A: Yes it is shielded and If the units being connected run over Cat6 Ethercon, than this should work.

A: I would say it would be slightly more ridged, but it still would be capable of easily being re rapped.

A: A single 100' cable is going to be better than 2 50' cables. Every time you add in a connector/adapter, you are introducing another delay in the signal.

[7' / 2.1 m] This cable seems trustworthy. As soon as I plugged it in, the connection felt firm and when I removed it, it was easy to snap off. Some cables in the past have needed coaxing, which was a concern. 5
