A: Please buy LILLIPUT Q5 ,thanks

Q: 3. Will this support HD-SDI or just 3G-SDI?

A: It supports both 3G-SDI and HD-SDI,thanks

Q: 4. How can a monitor have a maximum resolution of 1920x1080 when the native is 1024x600?

A: This means is that you can feed it a 1920 x 1080 image and the monitor will scale it to the native 1024 x 600 so you will be able to see a picture.

Q: 5. Anyone have experience using this monitor with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera? And words of wisdom would be much appreciated!

A: While we have not reviewed these two products together, we feel most confident they play together well. The camera/monitor issue that is most common is whether the camera puts out a signal that the monitor can support. This Lilliput reads every type of signal there is so you will be good.

Q: 6. Sir this product what are items giving with this monitor?

A: This monitor comes with plates for both Canon LP-E6 and Sony L style batteries. It also comes with a shoe mount so you can attach it directly to your camera. It does not come with batteries though, so we recommend either an LP-E6 or NP-F970 to go along with it.

Q: 7. The component input looks way different that the inputs for my tv. What adapter must I buy to have it work on this camera? My hdmi is not working on my fs100 so I must have the component cables match.

A: This monitor has BNC connectors for the component input. We have RCA to BNC adapters you could purchase. Another option to consider would be a monitor that has RCA component inputs, such as the Aputure VS-2.

Q: 8. How does the Anton Bauer battery plate connect to the 662/S? Is there any documentation or pictures that shows how that connection happens?

A: The 662/s has a 2 pins connector on the back case for plugging Anton Bauer mount.

Q: 9. Is there any degradation in the output signal...in either quality or resolution?

A: Since this is digital video, the quality and resolution are the same in or out.

Q: 10. I shoot with GH4 what happens when you shoot 4K will this produce an image?

A: You would set the GH4's HDMI output to HD and you would get an HD image, not 4K, on this monitor.

[800:1] This little monitor is a real boon for those who work with HDMI and SDI feeds, especially in a TV broadcast or film production environment. It also makes a great viewfinder for a DSLR and a handy little go-anywhere monitor for diverse uses, e.g. checking SDI outputs of satellite IRDs, chasing SDI at the tailboard of an OB truck or checking HDMI outputs for complex home entertainment systems or commercial installations. You pay a little more for the SDI input/output option, but if you work in professional broadcasting you must have it and for the money it's well worth it. The first pleasant surprise was the feel and heft of it. It has a metal chassis which feels just right and inspires confidence. The screen is viewable over a very wide angle, and all the various parameters such as safe-zones, peaking, vectorscope, display of audio levels, zebra, blue-screen etc should be enough to keep any demanding DP or director happy. The variety of DC input options is useful. Tolerating up to 18VDC input via the broadcast-standard 4-pin XLR socket, it can also use Sony F970-style batteries (my choice), Canon 5D batteries via the supplied battery mounting-plates, and (most usefully) the ubiquitous Anton-Bauer V-mount batteries via a special adapter-plate. Professional users will find these power-options especially handy. The supplied accessories are comprehensive and genuinely useful as well. The aluminium tilting-frame made for easy mounting on my DSLR cage-rig and the viewing-hood made use in bright sunlight a lot easier it just velcros into place. The clip-on battery mounting-plates make changing to a different style of battery a snack. The hot-shoe mount made it perfect for a DSLR video run and gun situation, or use on a stabilising-rig. This thing is versatile, and that's important when you're buying gear for daily use in different production-areas. This monitor deserves a place in the kit of any professional or semi-pro videographer or cinematographer.

[16:9] If your looking for a simple monitor to use for your camera, I highly recommend this one. Great for beginners who just want extra screen space to view what is going on in front of the camera without relying on the viewfinder that comes with the camera. Easy to setup and program and makes you look like a pro when using it. I use mine when recording Masses at church so I can see how my shot looks or need to make a concise adjustment such calibrating focus etc. It be nice if came with a battery but no biggie. Those are simple to find.

[1024 x 600] I have a couple of these monitors on my studio rigs. The focus peaking and false color being on easy to use buttons right on the front make this ideal for scenarios where speed is paramount. The hood is useful and doubles as a screen protector of sorts when stored. The only (slight) downside would be the battery life on LP-E6s. Overall excellent monitor.

[1024 x 600] I've owned one of these monitors for several months now and now purchased a 2nd and 3rd to use in a studio with JVC cameras. The one I've had I use with my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera in a studio and on location. It adds bulk, which if that's something that matters you may want to look at SmallHD. The other option would be using a monitor/recorder combo like the ones Atomos makes. I only needed a way to monitor my camera with the ability to check focus with peaking as well as see exposure with histogram and false color. This monitor has all those features that years ago weren't available for under $$or more. The only question is how accurate is the color of the LCD. I'll use it to check skin tones, but if McDonalds hires me to shoot a commercial I'm not going to rely on it to check the color of the golden arches. In the end, I would say this is a great monitor to use until you're ready to buy something from SmallHD or Atomos.

[2.945 lb] Our tech person at church needed a waveform monitor. He suggested some in the $700 - 1000 range. When I found this one, I checked with him and he said it might work.

He was able to use this monitor to test and recommend setting changes for our 5 cameras. Using this monitor's testing ability allowed us to greatly improve our webcast

[2.945 lb] While I have only had the unit for a week I have spent some with it and like it as much or more than I expected. Being able to use a Canon battery was a must for my purchase. The fact it will run off household power is also a great plus. The sun shade is easy to use and the Velcro is a nice touch as it will prevent damage to the unit and the shade by breaking away. I only plan to use for still photography and it works well in playback and or live mode. A nice little addition at a reasonable price.

[16:9] I bought this monitor back in June 2016 and thought the image looked terrible. Sometimes in the right lighting on my Sony FS7 if would look ok. Fast forward to a few months later I saw on youtube that it has a sharpness setting that's deep in the menu. Found it, turned it down from 50 to 2 and the image looks really nice now. Pleasantly surprised. It's also packed with features(waveform, histogram, peaking) and has sdi and hdmi inputs. Great little monitor for the price. Comes with sunshade, ac power, case. I have v-mount batteries so I did buy an Anton Bauer adapter plate for it. Only real complaint is the case it comes with, the configuration is a bit wonky.

[800:1] I use the Lilliput monitor with my Sony AZ-2000 camera for all of my video shoots and this amazing piece of equipment is nothing short of awesome. Great color, easy to use features and just plain simple. It comes with 2 battery plates so its virtually compatible with any you may have. Light weight and easy to set up with the HDMI cable. No reason to go with any other monitor unless its another Lilliput

[16:9] I use this with my BMPCC and I can't think of a better value. Beautiful, clear picture and it comes with so many valuable itemslike a hard shell case, sun hood, AC Adapter and more. It does come with a ball-joint shoe mount, but that's the only negative thing about it. The mount was cheap and stripped itself out the first time I mounted it to the rig. Fortunately, I had no plans to use it permanently. I now use it with my Noga Cine Arm, and it absolutely amazing. What you get for the price is unbeatable, and the monitor itself is very high quality, durable and well made.
