The Single-Channel 4 x 1" Dropover - Blackis a medium-duty dropover designed to cover wires and cables in the office or on site and allow safe passage for pedestrian and light vehicle traffic.

This dropover is made from high-strength, solid-cast polyurethane and offers a secure interlocking design, allowing you to create reliable runs of whatever length you need (with additional units, sold separately). It's slip-resistant to minimize accidental falls and is built to withstand extreme temperatures. The 4 x 1" measurement is the size of the channel, while the outer size is larger (please see Specifications).

Q: 1. Could I use this to power my MKH 416 so that I can record audio straight to my A7III?

A: Yes you can, however please note this requires an AC power adapter to be plugged into the wall to run the pre-amp. Here's a battery powered solution for portability: BH #PS48PMPS.

Q: 2. can this unit be used with any other handheld mic?

A: The Azden 35XT is compatible with any dynamic handheld mic, as well as microphones that are able to supply their own power such as battery powered mics. This unit is not able to supply power to condenser mics.

Q: 3. how does this work if I'm going directly in my camera (red scarlet mx..or my 5d mark 3)??

A: Well you'd need an adapter cable to connect it. While this would work it's really designed to supply a high quality signal to a standalone audio recorder for sync sound. It's hazardous to rely entirely on the camera for audio. A bad card or glitch in picture will affect audio as well. If the camera audio is scratch only then it's a useful reference and a backup in dire cases. If you have no option but to feed audio directly to the camera consider other options that are both more ergonomic and include a recorder: the Tascam d70 for example.

Q: 4. Can I output to RCA with an adapter with no issues?

A: No you can not use RCAs with phantom power. RCA cables are not balanced.

Q: 5. Is the AC power adapter supplied ?

A: Yes, the Rolls PB23 Single Channel Phantom Power Supply includes the Rolls PS27s AC Power Adapter with purchase.

Q: 6. Will this device convert a mic level signal to line level?

A: Yes, the MP-1 inputs a mic level signal and outputs a line level signal.

Q: 7. How do I use the included DC connector? Do you plug a cable into it?

A: Solder it on to a wire supplying 12vdc. or purchase the Sound Devices supply for it.

Q: 8. the monitor headphones is mono or stereo?

A: This is a mono device, but you can monitor using stereo headphones

Q: 9. Does this add hiss or ground-loop hum to the signal or is it clean?

A: I installed the Art phantom power supply in our pulpit microphone circuit when the phantom power supply portion of our sanctuary mixer board would intermittently fail. I have not noticed any unusual hiss or hum from the sanctuary speakers or our Youtube live stream recording. I cannot say how it would do for critical recording. The ART power supply does have internal isolation capacitors and a small external AC power supply (wall wart) which will provide a little more isolation from ground loops.

Q: 10. Does the power supply only travel in one direction? ie along the input path so it travels only to the mic?

A: Yes, the power goes to the mic only.

[6 lb (2.7 kg)] We produce commercial and personal video projects for clients. The Azden 35XT is a great addition to our Azden body pack wireless two-channel kit. Now, we don't have to wire casual subjects with body packs, which are more suited to interviews with client talent. A handheld wireless mic feeding the same freqs as our other mics makes it easy to switch into person-on-the-street mode at weddings, parties, and other functions. 5

[6.5 lb] I primarily do sound location recording for film. A producer recently gifted me with five of these Elasco single-channel cable drop overs. He rarely used them, but I immediately started using them on every shoot to guard my audio cables and stingers. They easily snap together to make as long a run as you need. I recently was on a gig where I needed more, so I ordered five additional identical Elasco single-channel cable drop overs. Greatest benefit is obviously protecting the integrity and longevity of my cables and stingers from crew members walking on them, standing on them, and rolling carts and gear over them. Safety wise, this is a great preventative measure from people tripping over any of my cables. I rarely need to gaff tape cables down anymore which is a major financial savings. Just be sure to get the right width and height to fit your cable needs. The ED1050 Single-Channel is sufficient for two to three audio cables or two 12-gauge stingers. If you use larger diameter cables or run bundles of cable together, I'd recommend bumping up another size or two, just beware that the larger you go in height and width, the weight of each drop over goes up as well. No question it raises your perceived professionalism a notch or two with clients. Don't know how I made it so long without these. Highly recommended. 5

[6.5 lb] Working with a variety of mics and combinations of wireless handheld, lavs, and cabled, enable me to use this wireless handheld where and how I need it. Easy switching of the channels, easy access to the switches, and quick and easy connection to the mic itself, makes this wireless transmitter a 2 thumbs up for me. Only Con is that it's a bit bulky. 5
