The coiled, 3' PocketWizard MM3 3.5mm TRS Flash Sync Cable 3'allows remote triggering of flash units with a 1/8" sync outlet using a PocketWizard Plus III or PlusX transceiver only.

The MM3 cannot be used to trigger an AlienBees flash from a FlexTT5/FlexTT6, MultiMAX, or Plus II. Use the PocketWizard MM1 cable instead.

Q: 1. I want to use an opteca IF500 flash off-camera using a Sony A6500. Will this cable do the job?

A: The PocketWizard HSFM3 Flash Sync Cable, is not compatable with "Sony" flash units. If the Pocket Wizard trigger one is using is compatible with the Sony A6500 then the synch cable will "work" and trigger a non-Sony flash unit.

Q: 2. Does this cable work with the gh4?

A: No. The cable you will need to use to connect a Tentacle Sync with the GH4 is the Tentacle Sync C07 - Tentacle to DSLR 3.5mm Mini-Jack Cable (B&H # TEC07) which connects to the camera's 3.5mm mic input.

Q: 3. Do you have the version 2 that works with Sony multi interface? From Pocketwizard's site: The new version (labeled HSFM3 v2.0 on the packaging) WILL fit the newer Sony Multi Interface Shoe.

A: This is the newest version of the cable for compatibility with Sony flashes which use the Multi-Interface Shoe.

A: Yes. The following unit does offer a PC terminal.

A: The bottom of the pictured portion of the image is not hot. Top only.

A: This is not compatible with the Metz Mecablitz 36 C-2.

Q: 7. Will this cable work with Sony HVL-F60M flash units? It says it is not compatible with Sony flashes. Camera is Sony SLT-A99V body. Having trouble with compatibility issues. Will this work with Pocket Wizard Plus III? Help!!

A: This cable DOES work with my Sony HVL-F60M flash, triggered by either a PocketWizard PlusX or an optical trigger. Flash in manual, of course, and make sure the foot on the flash is fully seated (there is a click when it's all the way in there). Should work fine with your Plus III.

Q: 8. I have an old Vivitar 283 will this work with that flash unit?

A: I only own Canon cameras. Sorry.

Q: 9. will it work woth a 430EX?

A: Yes, it does.

[Black] These work great. They allow a novice to work on the basics of portrait photography relatively in expensively. Never experienced a failure to fire or do what is required for the shot. They are not the newest tech. And I for one am glad they are still available, along with the PocketWizard. 5
