Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the receivers in this package be charged with the Williams Sound CHG3512? Would be using NIMH batteries.

A: Yes. The R37 receivers are compatible with the CHG 3512 charging system.

Q: 2. What type of microphone is needed to make this work? Do all of the receivers come with headsets for listening?

A: The VP 37-00 signifies the headphones and neckloops are not included in this package. You would select this package if you wanted to supply your own earphones. The PPA VP37 ( without the -00) comes with Neckloops and earphones. For microphones, the 3.5 min jack on the front will work with most all condenser style , lav style, or mic that requires a +12v power. ( condenser) It will not connect directly to and XLR type of connection. The unbalanced RCA jack on the back will take signal direct from your soundboard.

Q: 3. Can two of the transmitters be used in the same room with different languages?

A: It is a single channel system that cannot permit a second audio source.

Q: 4. How many receivers come with PRO 737?

A: It comes with 10 X PPA R37 N Select Channel FM Receiver (No Earphone/Batteries)

Q: 5. Can this be used to travel I plan on being on a ship I do have hearing aids but lots of back ground noise can anyone help me?

A: Travel with this kit is easy. Every thing is together in one portable case. The alkaline battery selection gives you twice the hours as the rechargeable type and there is no charger to transport. AA batteries are available everywhere. I use the MIC 014 omni-directional microphone and place the transmitter in the center of the room or table. Everyone is facing the unit and clarity is enhanced over my hearing aids. With the MIC 014 range is decreased to about 25 ft radius but adequate for a large room.

Q: 6. Is there a microphone included for use with the transmitter?

A: There is no microphone included, but there is a small microphone jack in the rear of the unit which I have not had the need to use. There is a cable that I run from the ADA to my mixer, and my microphone is plugged into the mixer.

Q: 7. Does the receiver in this bundle come with an antenna?

A: Yes it does. The ANT 025 whip antenna is included.

Q: 8. audio quality?

A: The sound quality is very good and more than equal to the applications it is designed for.

Q: 9. Is R37-8N compatible with T35?

A: It is compatible with a PPA T45, PPA T46, or PPA T27 transmitter.

Q: 10. how do I change the channels in my device, TGS pro 737?

A: The channel selection on the PPA T46 transmitter is accessed through the menu using the front panel buttons. [0.495 lb] I recently used this receiver to listen to the program for a three-day Regional Convention that was broadcast at 72.9Mhz and it was wonderful! I heard the speakers on the program like never before and it greatly enhanced the prerecorded musical portions as well. With the touch of a button on the first day, the receiver's seek feature found the correct broadcast channel quickly and I didn't have to adjust it for the rest of the convention, which was very convenient. With the included headphones, I only needed to set the volume at between 1 and 2(with 5 being the loudest), which is pretty low, but it was enough for comfortable listening. I was also able to use the same pair of rechargeable Ni-MH batteries for the entire 24+ hours of the program without having to recharge them. As a negative, it would be nice if a padded case were included for the receiver, as it is made of rather hard plastic and I was concerned it might crack if it accidentally fell onto a hard surface. I also don't really like that the channel-seek button is located inside the battery storage compartment - I suppose it prevents accidental button presses. It's hard to say where else it could be safely located, but it's not very intuitive to find it with the batteries - it could just be difficult to explain to someone not so at ease with technology where to look for it. I could be mistaken, but it also seems that the receiver is designed to be recharged in a docking bay, but I did not see an option to buy that particular product on the B&H site. If made available, it's something I would probably purchase once I start using the receiver on a more regular basis. Overall, I am very satisfied with this receiver and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an FM receiver using the 72-76Mhz band.

[0.495 lb] My church purchased this assistive listening system for use in translating our sermons. It is a very good system and includes everything is necessary to start broadcasting. Currently we're just using the FM receivers, but I've tried the app-based capabilities as well and it also works. The headphones are great too and easy to clean and care for.

Since this original purchase we've also purchased two more receivers.
