Q: 3. If I use a step up ring 67mm - 77mm , will this cause vignetting?

A: No, stepping up 10mm's will not cause vignetting.

Q: 4. Can it work with NiSi S6 150mm Filter Holder Adapter Ring for Standard Filter Threads 105, 95, and 82mm ?

A: This ring will allow for an adapter with a 105mm thread to fit a lens with a 95mm thread.

Q: 5. Does this fit onto Leica Elmarit-R lens with series VII filter thread?

A: Apparently there are two versions of this lens. Series VII retaining ring should be 54mm so this step ring should get you to a 55mm filter size.

Q: 6. Looking to use this on my sigma 18-35 f1.8. With a filter on it, will there be vignetting?

A: You could use the Heliopan 72-77mm Step-Up Ring (#141) on the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art Lens. You will not get vignetting but you will not be able to use the lens hood.

Q: 7. Would this ring permit the use of 55mm threaded filters on a lens with a Series VII filter-thread? The Leica R 90mm f2 (old version, not the later version) is the lens I have in mind.

A: No, that adapter is for lenses that have a 54mm thread. Series 7 is not 54. If you have a retaining ring, most of those are 54 mm it might work. But the adapter alone will not work. This is a retaining ring, General Brand Series 7 Retaining Ring BH #GBRRS7 https://bhpho.to/3bJHVPU

Q: 9. What is the thread pitch of the 43mm threads?

A: The thread pitch is not listed for this adapter. However it will allow you to use 52mm Filters on a 43mm Lens.

Q: 10. I have a Nikon Z50 and wish to go from a Nikkor DX 16-50 3.5-6.3 to a Nikkor DX 50-250/4.5-6.3 would the Heliopan 700177 be compatable with the threads on the lens. In the future I'll be purchasing a better set of filters what is the thread type on this step up adapter?

[Brass] There are not many heavy duty 52-77mm step rings out there, most are plastic or aluminum. This is brass and is seriously sturdy. You could probably use is as an improvised gardening trowel and it would be none the worse for wear. On the downside, it's heavier than any other step ring you've ever seen. I use it on a Fuji 240mm view camera lens. But by the time you pack everything needed for a view camera, the additional weight is not notable and you have a step ring that is not going to bind to a filter, short of catastrophic destruction. The other downside is that it's so good that it's remarkably expensive, but if you plan on using it for decades, it's not really that expensive. I have no doubt that it will outlast me! I have heard that brass transmits shock instead of deforming like aluminum or plastic. At the risk of cursing myself, I will say that in nearly 40 years of photography I've never dropped a lens. :-) But if you're the kind of person who drops lenses, well, you may want a bit more of an airbag. Personally, I think this unit is worth the bucks and I'm more concerned about a filter binding than I am about dropping a lens and in that regard, the Heliopan is a winner.

[44 mm to 60 mm] Easy way to use the filters you already have on lenses that you seldom use.

[44 mm to 60 mm] When I bought a 20mm fixed focus aspherical lens to complement the 14-140 mm zoom lens, I needed a step up ring to utilize the ND filters and diopters. The Heliopan ring is sturdy, easily mounted (don't screw it in too hard!) and allows you to use all your filters on a lens with msaller diameter. An additional advantage is: stacking of several filters does not vignette the resulting image, since the filter ring is out of sight.

[Brass] Step up 20mm pancake lens to fit light ring and mattebox. It's brass, so it should never bind. This thing is pricey, but at the time that I ordered it, no other manufacturer offered this product.I like this product...

[44 mm to 60 mm] Quality and function wise I give it a 5/5. It went on my Canon 50mm f/1.8 II easily and my 72mm filter when on flawlessly as well. However, before you buy this, I advise looking at the price of the filter first, which I foolishly did not do. I realized that the filter was just as expensive as this step-up ring. Also, if you have a small focus ring near the end of the lens near where the filter goes, I would also be cautious about this. The Canon 50mm f/1.8 II I use this on has a thing focus ring, so it is difficult for me to focus when I want to do so manually, as the larger ring gets in the way. Otherwise, this works very well.

[0.04 lb] I am stepping up from a Caivision 85mm clamp on to 95 mm thread adapterto fit a 105 mm metal B+W wide angle lens hood. I first tried a * General Brand made by Bower and it wouldn't even fit. It was much less expensive but very badly made. The Heliopan has a matte finish and it easily screws on and off and on again.

[44 mm to 60 mm] B&H Photo is one of the few places that you can readily get these specialty products. I am using the 82mm B+W (1A) pro filter on a Canon 24mm TSE II lens. Attached to the filter is the Heliopan 82-95 step-up ring (#112). There is NO vignetting at any aperture with this combo. The front lens cap, i.e., the Hasselblad 95mm, works perfectly. All of these items are of the highest quality and compliment the new TSE Canon lens, which is the sharpest Canon lens that I own.
