Traditional sculpted keytops are curved to fit your fingertips and prevent you from moving out of home position.

The symbols at the top of each key are laser-etched to combat wear over the life of the keyboard.

Three USB 2.0 ports let you connect peripherals like mice and flash drives directly to the keyboard, providing easier installation and reducing clutter.

Just like an Apple keyboard, the Tactile Pro's function keys now let you control screen brightness, volume, iTunes, and more. A Fn (Function) key lets you momentarily change the function keys back to their traditional duties.

Anti-ghosting circuitry allows you to type as quickly as you're able without missing or additional letters and symbols.

™, €, £, ¥, and other hard-to-remember symbols are printed on the right side of the keys. Simply hold down the Option key for the bottom-right characters or Shift-Option for the top-right characters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I use the F1-19 keys as custom shortcuts -- are the Fn keys locked to Mac-focus or can they be switched to std function keys?

A: The Matias RGB Backlit Wired Keyboard for Mac (Space Gray) does not have an Fn lock on the keyboard, but you can change the default behavior of the function keys between Mac features and standard function keys in the MacOS System Settings menu.

[Mechanical] Was still using my wired keyboard from my 2008 iMac (which was a little worse for the ware.) This one seems identical.

[3x USB-A 2.0] This keyboard is like what I learned to type on, well differentiated keys with dished key tops to keep centered on the keys. I also like the face that this keyboard is specifically made for a MAC, not a PC.

[60 g] I have a few Mac setups, and I have added this keyboard to two of them, they work great and have a great price.

[3x USB-A 2.0] As an old newspaper veteran of typewriter city rooms I've been suffering for 40 odd years from low-profile computer keyboards. Now comes the Matias? No more mistakes. Good song, no more silence. Speed has tripled; now I'm back to my blazing performance on the the old Royal Standards. Congrats.

[19.8 x 8.3 x 2"] Dump all your Apple keyboards!! This one is a dream to use. The key I hit is the letter that appears. No need for extensive edition, corrections, deleting and rewriting as is necessary with Apple keyboards. And B&H is a great company -- efficient, friendly, cooperative.

[19.8 x 8.3 x 2"] This is a very well made keyboard and a perfect replacement for the original Apple keyboard.

[19.8 x 8.3 x 2"] I really like typing on this keyboard. It's just me but I make fewer mistypes since I had it. Not for everyone as it is noisy, but I love it.

[60 g] The click-clack of the keys is what makes this keyboard rock. You can hear the sentences grow. Great on the wrists. Numeric keyboard an added plus.

[3.65 lb] I am a touch typist who makes much of my living writing. I have been using Apple's Magic Keyboard for the last four years. I thought I loved the keyboard, but recently I realized that I was making more mistakes than I should. Okay, yes, the "e" key was going out, but it alerted me to how many mistakes I was making otherwise that were being fixed with the spellchecker in ways of which I didn't approve. :)

I thought I would give this mechanical keyboard a try. What a difference. I didn't realize how much I rely on feedback. I took a typing speed test with the new computer and I scored 76wpm (335cpm) with 100% accuracy. There is no way I would have had a 100% accuracy with the other keyboard, even if the "e" key was working.

I like the layout of the keyboard and appreciate that there is no learning curve for using it on my Mac since it utilizes a similar layout but with more of the functions labeled.

If you are not a touch typist, I don't think this board will make much of a difference. However, if you do touch type, this keyboard gives great feedback. It is noisy, but I chose this noisy version on purpose as the noise is part of the feedback for me. However, if you don't like a noisy keyboard or work in an environment with others nearby, you may want to go with the quiet version of this keyboard.

I definitely am happy with my purchase.
