A: The JBL Control 26CT are designed to be use with a 70v commercial amplifier. A home receiver lacks the necessary transformer found in commercial amps like the JBL CSA 1120Z Audio Amplifier; B&H# JBCSA1120Z.

Q: 2. I'm looking at using these for a church system. what do you recommend the placement to be between each speaker on a 9'-12' cathedral ceiling? A: The Control 26CT has a built in transformer allowing in it to be used in a distributed audio system. These speakers are able to be tapped at multiple wattages. When connected to a 70v audio system, the amplifier must be rated to handle the sum of all speakers connected with an additional 20% for headroom.

A: Yes. When headphones are connected to the JBL Control 2P Powered Speaker, the speaker is muted.

[1] We use the product in a classroom environment with a projector whose sound is too low to hear. These speakers work great with the projector and our faculty members are beside themselves that their students can finally hear their presentations!!! 5

[35 W] Great Speaker, I have used a pair for spoken voice and ambient music in a 500 people hotel conference room, multiple weddings with bands, I must say I would prefer to use it 2 per side in such situation or maybe have a more powerful system, but is a versatile box, very powerful, don't expect long throw but it will handle even open air fairs in the near field of it with voice and recorded music. Maybe not the best form factor for corporate but its powerful enough to handle most events. 5
