Attaching the Movcam FS7 Riser Plate for Camera Supportto the bottom of the Sony FS7 camera increases the mounting surface area and keeps it flat. The top surface is specially shaped to fit exactly with the FS7's contours. With the expanded surface area, a shoulder pad or tripod plate can be placed anywhere along the bottom of the camera for optimal balance with different lenses or rig components. The base of the plate is also Arca-Swiss compatible for securing to Arca-Swiss standard support equipment. Aside from camera support, the front of the plate can house a lens/adapter support to reduce stress on the camera's lens mount.

A: No, the 8Sinn Riser Plate II is only compatible with the 8Sinn 15mm Baseplate (BH #8S815BP • MFR #8-15BP).

Q: 5. Can a Anton Bauer Mount be switched with the V Lock?

A: You can swap out the rear battery mount plate with an Anton Bauer plate. It will require soldering of the plate leads onto the board however.

Q: 6. Would this work with an Fs7?

A: The support is designed to work with the FS700. The rod center height will not fit properly to work with matteboxes and accessories if used with an FS7. For the FS& you will need a 303-2701 and 303-2702. These items are made for the FS7 and will allow the camera to slide on the plate for better balancing. It is VCT V lock compatible and will also slide onto ARRI style dovetail plates.

A: This is meant to work with Mocam products to support a lens adapter such as those by Metabones.

Q: 10. What type of screws are used to attach the lens support on the riser? Need to know if I can use a screw with a looped end so I can add a handstrap to my cage.

A: Don't know the exact size without some research. It takes a 3mm hex key and is probably a metric size like the rest of the screws on the cage, only larger. Its tapped hole would not take a standard looped tripod screw since it's a bit smaller than a 1/4 tripod screw. The riser screw drops into a 1/4-20 tripod threaded hole.
