A: Yes, sort of, there are 3 holes about an inch apart and you can choose which is best to put the tightening screw through and that will bring the upper keyboard closer or further from the lower keyboard. So it is a bit adjustable. It was improtant for us since our keyboard player is only 5' 4 and sings so we did not want her hidden behind the upper keyboard. We lowered it very close to the top of the lower keyboard. Worked great.

A: No. the desk portion requires the stand for support. Removing it from the stand is to facilitate storage or transportation only.

A: We have a Nord 73 and an M-audio 61. Both fit on the stand just fine.

[42 x 27 x 5.5"] Perhaps the best 3 tier stand out there for heavy duty keyboards. I use it professionally on a weekly basis, setting it up and taking it down and it is very solid and reliable. QuikLok customer service is also very good. 5

[28.5 lb] So far I have only great things to say about this stand. I have an M-Audio Hammer 88 weighted keyboard on the lower tier, and an NI Komplete Kontrol 49 on top. Works great!!! 5

[28.5 lb] I was on a notification list for this item for literally half a year and every time it was back in stock it would sell out immediately until recently when I was so lucky to be able to snatch one. It's hard to get a stand like this one. It arrived pretty quick. 5

[28.5 lb] I use this stand for live playing. The stand is much more stout and beefy than it looks in the photo. There is lots of flexibility with the 2nd tier you can adjust height and tilt of the keyboard and also tilt the vertical arms in if you are going to be using a small keyboard up top like a Mopho Keyboard or Moog Phatty. In addition you can slide the 2nd tier arms fore and aft to adjust how much the upper board overhangs your lower board. Nice. I have a big digital piano on the bottom and a small 36 key synth up top. Works great. All the adjustments lock together with meshing teeth so it is really solid. When I received it one weld holding the teeth on the tilt adjustment was broken and the teeth just spun around. Called Quiklok and they were nice and took care of the problem ASAP. Great Service. Overall a very stable stand with lots of possibilities for adjustment and capable of having big and short boards together. 5
