Switch from a tripod to hand-held in a snap with the Sunwayfoto DP-50R Universal Quick Release Platefrom Sunwayfoto. Compatible with all Arca-type and Really Right Stuff clamps (including its lever clamps), this plate is CNC-machined from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminum and has a satiny, anodized surface for improved resistance to abrasion and corrosion. It features an adjustable/removable backstop and rubber mats on the surface of the plate to keep your setup from shifting. You can also attach a camera strap to a side slot for grab-and-go convenience. The plate mounts to your camera by means of a 1/4"-20 thread at the top and also has a 1/4" threaded hole for direct mounting to a monopod, while two supplied stainless steel safety-stop screws can be mounted underneath to protect your gear from accidental drops. This item is ideal for use with the Canon 5D, 5DII, 7D and other DSLRs.

Q: 3. Wish this came with instructions. What is the purpose of the little screws?

A: The little screws are a safety mechanism that prevents the camera from sliding out of the clamp if it is loose. With them in place you have to intentionally remove the camera. Without them it could slide out accidentally.

A: Yes indeed. Perfectly well. I am using it with a Sigma 150 600 whih is a little heavier. It works very well

A: Benro uses D-ring screws in all their PU quick-release plate series. If you look at the B&H # BEPU30 there has an image of the screw available with the BH #BEPU40QRP.

Q: 6. Will this plate with the backstop engaged fit the OM System OM-1 camera?

A: Sunwayfoto DP‑50R Quick Release Plate is universal. You can raise the anti twist bar an use it against the back of the camera body if you would be articulating the LCD. If you will be using the Lcd close to the camera body you can attach the connect the anti -twist bar to the LCD bottom concavity.

Q: 7. does this fit on the glide cam hd - 4000?

A: The Glidecam HD-4000 does not offer a quick release system. However many people would use a 577 Rapid Connect adapter with the HD-4000. If you have that product on the HD-4000, this plate will work with that.

Q: 8. Does this plate come with 1/4 -20 mounting screw and safety stops or do we have to purchase it separately?

A: The Sunwayfoto DPG-76R Universal Quick Release Plate includes the parts.

Q: 9. Will this plate work on the R50 body to allow the battery/SD card slots to open fully as my RRS plate does not ? Thank you.

A: The Acratech Arca-Type Universal Quick Release Plate (1/4"-20) will fit underneath the Canon R50 without obstructing the battery compartment.

And opposed to most competitors it features a strap lug, wide enough to fit e.g. Nikon's AH-4 18mm wide strap. It is actually being used on a Leica S. Its profile is quite low compared to many others which is beneficial. I'd highly recommend it. 5

[1.1 oz / 30.8 g] Somewhat specialty plate, different from most similarly looking plates. This one has a 3/8 hole through which either 1/4 or 3/8 screw will fit, BUT the 1/4 one will freely fall out if the plate is not attached to something. As such, consider this to be a 3/8 Arca Plate, a specialty item. Of course, if you attach it to a 1/4 female thread permanently, it will work like a charm too. Just don't keep it as a spare 1/4 plate, you are likely to get frustrated losing the screw. 5
