Install a 2.5" SSD into your system's 3.5" SATA bay using the Crucial SSD Installation Kit for Easy Upgradefrom Crucial. Designed for use with your 2.5" SSDs and hard drives, this kit comes with a 3.5" adapter bracket that allows your drive to be installed into a 3.5" drive bay. In addition, Crucial includes a USB-to-SATA data transfer cable so you can use the internal drive as an external drive for notebooks.

Crucial lets you use this kit to upgrade your current drive with a faster, larger-capacity drive with the Acronis True Image HD data transfer software program. You can use this program to move the data from your old drive to a new drive.

[0.27 lb] While pretty straightforward I went ahead and had B&H Techs install the added RAM for my new 8 core APPLE MAC PRO. Has worked flawlessly since delivery, plus they returned the original RAM. Too many times when doing this myself I have encountered problems which then take away the enjoyment of a new Machine for an hour or sometimes days. 5

[0.27 lb] The SSD fits in the bracket and lets you install in a 3.5 bay in your desktop. The USB connector doesn't supply enough power for a 3.5 HDD, so I used the SATA cable to connect the HDD to the motherboard and used an extra power connector. This let me transfer all my data from my HDD (not my boot disk) to the SSD. Did not use the cloning software that Crucial provides. 5

[0.27 lb] I bought a computer from B&H and wanted additional hard disk space for storage. The helpful guy in computers recommended a solid state hard disk & said that they would install it for me for a nominal fee.
