When used with both eyes open, there it has an unlimited field of view and eye relief, and its anti-reflection multicoated optics ensures the brightest image possible.

The HDS 3AA housing is made of a lightweight aluminum alloy with a scratch and corrosion-resistant anodized finish. It is IP67-rated to be fogproof and submersible to 3.3' for up to 30 minutes. The sight is equipped with a Picatinny/Weaver mount, a removable honeycombed anti-reflection objective filter that doesn't interfere with the lens cover, and flip-up covers for the objective and ocular lenses. Its reticle is powered using a single AA battery.
