A: Arm selection is mostly based on type of camera. No extension=ENG handlheld camera over your shoulder. 5 Extension=for handheld cameras like RED or caged DSLR. 9 extension is for very large cameras. You also have to select the weight so that the string matches the load as well. Having used the Easyrig I can say it is a useful tool. In certain situations, it is the only one to use.

A: 5 inches and 9 inches are not that far apart and depending on your setup, physical size and arm reach there is some overlap where either option may work for you. I cant remember the weight range of Cinema 3 but be sure that your total built camera is in the weight range or you will not be happy with the performance of the EasyRig.
