The black K&M 211/1 Telescoping Boom Arm - Blackis a two-piece telescoping boom arm with an adjustable length of 17.1 to 29.3 inches. It features a silent, nonscratching swivel joint and a T-bar locking screw to securely hold its position. It can be used on a standard tripod microphone stand (available separately) with a 5/8" thread.

A: You will need an adapter bushing (B&H # AUADCOMBOS) to connect the two. The boom has 5/8 female threads and your light stand probably has either 1/4 or 3/8 male threads.

A: No, the Auray Telescoping Boom Arm Mic Stand with Table Clamp Mount is not intended to be mounted upside down. The tension screw that secures the arm in the clamp may not be capable of supporting the weight of a microphone and any accessories when it is mounted upside down.

A: In 2014, when I bought mine, the mount was steel. I cannot guarantee that they still are today, but mine have been very durable and solid.

[Black] It's just the right length for my application. I have a tight working area for audio. I have the boom on a microphone stand behind the rack and it comes through from the back, so that the microphone is positioned directly over the mixer. Plenty of adjustments make it fit almost any application. 5

[1.565 lb] This is a quality boom arm you can depend on. Other lower priced boom arms tend to droop over time with heavier mics like the RE20, Stam SA87, or Rode K2. This one won't. There is a competing On-Stage all steel boom arm that seems just as good for a lower price but the long term durability remains to be seen. This one I trust with my most expensive mics (Neumann and Brauner) for now. 5

[1.565 lb] This is a very good boom arm that I have screwed on top of my light stand for podcasts. Super high quality with loads of good features. Pros: + Pretty solid friction force. So good that I didn't even have to put a counter-weight on my stand. + Easy to use knobs for rotation and extension. + Clip for holding xlr cables + High-quality build Cons - Definitely a shorter arm I've been using this for a few months at this point and it has not disappointed. I highly recommend this product. 5

[5/8"-27 Male] This is a fantastic telescoping boom arm, suitable for all needs. Made in Germany, built to last. Replaces Onstage arms that just aren't anywhere near as nice. The nickel version of this K&M arm is ridiculously hard to find, though! So props to B&H for carrying this item. I use these short telescoping arms for my Atlas round base stands, and I was afraid that I would have to get black arms for my chrome stand. Atlas chrome and K&M nickel aren't exactly a match, but they match enough. Very happy with this product. 5

[Black] A nice, low cost unit. Its a light weight unit that's good for traditional mics that are also reasonable weight (SM57/58, Audix OM2, etc). I plan to purchase a few more. 5

[Steel] Can't imagine why would anybody want to spend 5 - 10 times more for the same product. It is a commodity, like a door stopper. Anything would do the job. Then again, not being a pro I might not appreciate some fine nuances. For me, it does everything I need it to do. 5
