The Professional 12" Teleprompter with Hoodfrom Professional 12" Teleprompter with Hoodincludes a Professional Series 12" prompter monitor, a folding medium wide-angle hood, a beamsplitter glass, and the mounting plate and hardware. It is suitable for reading ranges of up to 15'. It provides clear and crisp prompting images even in extreme sunlight or studio lighting. Mount the prompter to a pedestal using optional rods or to any pedestal/tripod using an optional Autocue Gold plate, which slides backwards and forwards to accommodate any size camera (DV or ENG). The hood moves up and down to enable you to shoot through the center of the glass with no need to raise the camera.

Q: 1. Can you mount this prompter on a light stand?

A: I would highly recommend against using this Teleprompter on just a light stand. It weighs 10 pounds and its shape will make it difficult to remain stable. A tripod like B&H #DAPVT7518B from Davis & Sanford would be a far more suitable option.

Q: 2. I am concerned about the 12 screen being too small to use comfortably. My client will be 12' from the camera. Our studio Teleprompter is 17 and 4x3, but it is too hard to take in the field. Should I move up to the 15 ?

A: You can use the Elite Remote if you are using your IOS device to send the signal to the monitor

Q: 9. I'd like to be able to feed video to the prompter via a Blackmagic Design ATEM TV Studio HD switcher (Aux output). Does the monitor give me the ability to adjust resolution so the doesn't look squeezed?

A: Unfortunately, the PT1200 is designed only to work under its native resolution of 1024 x 768.

[15' (4.5 m)] I have tried a lot of those promoters in the past and this one is finally working exactly as I expected. I suggest to use the app Power Prompter 2 which is so easy to use. Same as for prompter, I have tried many many solutions and this software is just the best. 5

[CE, FCC, ROHS] This hood is nice and small. It twists on and snaps in place. To remove, push down twist off. I love it. 5

[17 lb (7.7 kg)] I purchased this teleprompter to use for our promotional videos. It's really user friendly, easy to carry and set up. The height is adjustable and the stability is really successful. Exactly worth it 5

[CE, FCC, ROHS] After I posted several reviews here Ikan connected me directly to assure me of a couple things. They are going to change the image associated with the 19 inch and they are working to certify the glass/beamsplitter. When a manufacturer calls me and listens I pay attention and feel better about the purchase... Ignore the previous posts. 5

[380 nits] It is hard to believe that you can get a 3G teleprompter at this price point. We mounted this to our Grass Valley LDX86s with Fujinon glass, and it works great. We had a lot of doubts, but are incredibly happy with this purchase. 5

[380 nits] Opening the box, I was impressed by the packaging and build quality. The carry case is sturdy and the foam holding the parts in place is very going to last. All pieces, including velcro straps holding elements in the box, are of high quality. Instructions seem clear. Care was taken to put all this together. We will get a lot of use from this. 5
