A: The Heliopan 46-49mm Step-Up Ring uses standard threads, and are excellent quality step-up rings with brass construction.

Q: 7. Looking to use this on my sigma 18-35 f1.8. With a filter on it, will there be vignetting?

A: You could use the Heliopan 72-77mm Step-Up Ring (#141) on the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art Lens. You will not get vignetting but you will not be able to use the lens hood.

Q: 8. Will this step up ring work with a Leica Noctilux 50mm 0.95 lens?

A: The Heliopan 60-77mm Step-Up Ring (#644) (B&H# HESUR6077) will fit the 60mm filter thread of the Leica Noctilux-M 50mm f/0.95 ASPH. Lens (Black) (B&H# LE50095NB). As such, you'll be able to add 77mm filters to that lens.

Q: 9. is this 43x0.5 or 43x0.75?

A: The Heliopan 43-46mm Step-Up Ring (#243) has a 0.75 thread pitch.

Q: 10. I need to mount a 62mm filter on a 72mm lens, do I need a step up ring or a step down ring?

A: You would need a 62mm to 72mm step down ring.

[0.03 lb] Using for 58mm ND filters on smaller (micro four-thirds) Olympus lenses. Well constructed, works as it is supposed to, doesn't get stuck. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. 5

[34 mm to 39 mm] I have older version of Leica R 35/2 lens. It takes 48mm filters or I can use step-up rings for 52mm or any larger size filters. Well, the problem is that 48mm filters can be hardly found. If I did find them, they are very expensive. So I purchased 48-52mm step up ring by Heliopan that is what I review now. Heliopan step up rings are fantastic, because they are brass rings, not aluminum ones. They will not bind nor cross thread either. I have all sort of step up rings by B+W, but they are anodized aluminum. I don't trust their rigidity. Also they sometimes are stuck with filter rims, so binding is a real problem with any brand name step-up, -down rings as long as they are made from aluminum. Heliopan 48-52 mm ring is a bit heavy, but I like its solid feel and it gives me a worry free confidence from binding or cross thread. It will last than any filters or myself for that matter! 5

[4 x 3 x 1"] Like all Heliopan, this filter is super high quality German design and make. Magnification allows me to shoot flowers in macro, while beautifully distorting everything around. 5

[34 mm to 39 mm] I am using this step up ring to put filters on my Panasonic LX100. The lens housing on the LX100 is roughly 58mm, so when I use this, its flush with housing. A really clean setup. I bought this instead of cheaper step up rings since this is made out of brass and I'll be swapping out filters frequently. It has worked great so far. Never a snag. 5
