  • The System 10 PRO offers full-bandwidth, 24-bit/48 kHz digital audio with none of the audio artifacts associated with analog companding.
  • Each of the two rugged handheld transmitters features an integrated dynamic microphone capsule that delivers a natural sound optimized for speech intelligibility.
  • The mic's hypercardioid polar pattern tightly focuses audio capture on the subject directly in front of the mic, minimizing background noise and feedback.

Automatic Frequency Selection

  • Just power up the components, and the receiver automatically seeks out a clean frequency and pairs up with the transmitter, saving you the hassle of scanning and syncing.
  • While in use, the system continually monitors activity in the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi range and automatically switches to a clean frequency to avoid interference if necessary.

Rugged Receiver Chassis

  • The durable half-rack receiver chassis houses both receiver units and can be mounted alone using the included mounting brackets and screws. Two chassis can be mounted side-by-side using the included joining plate, allowing four wireless mic channels to occupy a single 19" rackspace for a compact multichannel installation.
  • The chassis' front-panel display provides visual status information including RF signal level and the transmitter's battery life, along with a 3-color audio-level LED and a Pair LED.
  • A System ID number display indicates which transmitter is associated with a given receiver.
  • Rear-panel connections include balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4" output connections as well as output level controls and ground-lift switchs to help eliminate audible hum caused by ground loops.

Two Versatile Receiver Units

  • Each receiver unit features two removable antennas.
  • A 1/4"-20 thread allows for mounting each unit to a bracket, stand, and other fixture. The units can also be permanently wall mounted using the included receiver unit holders.

Two Lightweight Handheld Transmitters

  • The transmitters are housed in lightweight, plastic chassis.
  • An internal input trim control can be set—using the included screwdriver—to match the volume of your speaker or vocalist for distortion-free input.
  • With just a quick press, the power switch on the transmitter doubles as a mute function. This function can be locked out to prevent an accident.

Pairing Multiple Transmitters

  • Up to 10 transmitters can be paired with a receiver ahead of time. This is useful in situations when you have multiple speakers, one after another, and you need to have them miked up and ready to go. All you'll have to do is turn one transmitter off and the next one on.

Triple Diversity Reception Maximizes Wireless Signal Integrity

  • Space Diversity: The receiver compares the signal showing up at its two antennas and chooses the strongest one.
  • Time Diversity: The transmitter sends the digital signal in two imperceptibly different time slots and compares the two.
  • Frequency Diversity: The digital audio is sent over two different frequencies at the same time and the system chooses the cleaner one.

For optimal performance, users are encouraged to maintain as direct a line of sight as possible between the transmitter and receiver.

2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Band

  • Unlike traditional analog wireless systems, the System 10 PRO operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM band, away from interruptions and dropouts caused by TV and radio channel interference.

Presenters

  • Audio-Technica offers the ATW-T1001 bodypack transmitter with a variety of lavalier and headset microphone options to adapt your System 10 PRO as your needs evolve.
  • The MT830cW lavalier mic allows for hands-free presentations and features an omnidirectional polar pattern for consistent pickup even when the talent turns away from the mic.
  • The AT831cW mini cardioid lavalier mic offers a narrower, feedback-resistant pickup pattern for louder events.
  • The discrete PRO-92cW earset mic provides improved clarity in spoken word applications.

Guitarists

  • The AT-GcW guitar cable lets you connect an ATW-T1001 bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.

Video Conferencing

  • The ATW-T1006 boundary transmitter/mic is designed for tabletop use, ideal for applications such as video-conferencing where minimum visibility is required.

Conferences/Boardrooms

  • The ATW-T1007 base transmitter can be used with a gooseneck mic on a table for situations where wired mics are impractical.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you run more then 10 units in one location

A: I don't know for sure. Info on the web says no. Audio Technica says only 10. But they don't report what happens above 10 units

Q: 2. Is the RC2 able to hold the Audio-Technia PRO 8HEcW headset mic with the ATW-T1001 bodypack transmitter and ATW-R1100 receiver? (I can't find any pictures of the unit open so I don't know if they have slots for the items to be stored.)

A: There is ample space (additional slots) for accessories.

Q: 3. Does the receiver have line output capability?

A: The Audio-Technica ATW-1301/L System 10 PRO's receiver is capable of line-level output.

Q: 4. Does this have one or two XLR output connectors?

A: Twoone for each channel

Q: 5. How long do the AA batteries last in each mic?

A: The Audio-Technica ATW-1366 System 10 PRO Dual-Channel Digital Wireless Boundary Microphone System uses internal rechargeable batteries with an approximate life of 4.5 hours.

Q: 6. Can you buy an extra bodypack to pair up with one of the channels such that you can use either the handheld or bodypack?

A: Yes you can get a Audio-Technica ATW-T1001 System 10 Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter (2.4 GHz) to use with the Audio-Technica ATW-RU13 System 10 PRO Wireless Receiver so that you can either use 2 handheld or 2 lavalier microphones.

Q: 7. Dimensions? (specified for ATW-RC1)

A: I dont have it with me at the moment but its like a small briefcase. It protects your investment well. Probably 16x12 inches. Hard plastic.

Q: 8. Can I link the transmitter (handheld) with TWO recievers simultaneously (to receive signal at both camera and DJ positions)?

A: Yes

Q: 9. 6 mics simultaneously in same studio. Manuel suggests that you can run up to 10 mics in same space. Reading that right?

A: That is correct, the Audio-Technica ATW-1311/L System 10 PRO Dual-Channel Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System (2.4 GHz) can support up to 10 channels/mics in a close proximity.

Q: 10. Can I pair this mic with the system 10 lavalier receivers?

A: Thank you for your question. You can use up to 8 systems in an ideal environment. the receiver can only operate on a single transmitter at a time so you would need 8 full systems to mic up 8 people.

[1x RJ12] So far so good--planning to use it for filming both exterior shots and interiors where there is WiFi in the building. In initial tests I have not experienced any interference problems. If I do, I expect the remotable antenna feature should help to resolve that for my purposes. The provided adhesive windscreens for the lavs appear rather minimalistic and I don't expect they will last so I will likely purchase a more robust lav windscreen for any exteriors where talent is not blocking the wind (and where a shotgun is not more suitable). The sound is very clean and by my ear should intercut well with my Sennheiser 416, though I have not yet listened side by side. I have successfully run the receiver unit without the provided AC power supply, using a regulated 12v battery supply instead.

[Off/On Switch] This system was as close to plug-and-play as you can get. It instantly paired with the transmitters, and provided audio of exceptional digital clarity from over 100' away in an environment filled with RF interference.

[Handheld] I have somehow become the default techie for our church… We used to have audio technical microphones, as they are becoming obsolete I talk to counsel Into allowing me to buy this unit. It was a breeze to set up, the body packs are a bit easier to operate, and the sound quality is tremendous. I’ll probably buy another couple of these units over the next year.

[Black] I purchased the ATW-1311L System 10 PRO Rack-Mount Digital Lavalier Mic System for our Church sound system. We presently have a wireless system operating in the 700 MHz frequency range. I learned that this frequency range is up for auction by the FCC and may be unusable in the next few years. The 2.4 GHz system was the only logical system to use. I plan on purchasing more of these units in the future. The system works well and I can certainly recommend it. I especially liked the ability to remotely locate the receivers for good line of sight operation. Harry Hoffman

[2x Handheld] Wow - quick setup, inservice for holiday programs with minimal issues - almost as easy as putting in the batteries. We did have a sound quality issue with mics, but I believe the problem is with mic placement in costumes.

[Tabletop] The System 10 Pro is very well explained in the product description on this site, so no need to repeat. The main advantage is that because of the rack receiver electronics, the operating range is almost double that of the camera mount portable system (I own those, too). At the very least, you can remove the receiver/antenna modules and mount them up on a (non-metallic)painters pole or wooden/plastic pole and get them 15 feet above your soundcart in order to insure a clear line of sight for the antennas -- boosting the range considerably! Using an inverter or an efficient DC battery (12-13v) you can power the rack in the field if there is no AC available.

[Mono] We got two sets of rack mount receivers, plus a on camera receiver, so 5 receivers in total. We got two handheld and two lavalier mics with transmitters, plus a headset mic for one of the transmitters. The two rack mount unit connects together to a perfect 1U unit. The user-friendlyness of this system is fantastic. No channel choice, just plug and play. You pair each transmitter and receiver like it was a wireless keyboard. If you only buy on system, they are paired out of the box. The power button doubles as mute button and keeps the RF alive, but mutes the sound, giving the user the ability to control the sound, without worrying the sound guy if the unit is on and working. The on-camera receiver, both outputs balanced and un-balanced signal, allowing us to use it both on our Sony A7s and on our Sony PXW-Z100, without conversion cables. The on-camera receiver is also rechargeable via standard USB cable. Best of all, and most importantly: Sound is spot on!
