Expanding on their line of panels, the Dracast Plus Series LED500 Bi-Color Light Panelfrom Dracast Plus Series LED500 Bi-Color Light Paneladds a digital display for adjusting output as well as Cat 5 DMX input and output for linking and comes with both Gold mount and V-mount battery plates. The light features 512 LEDs with a high CRI of 95 for excellent color accuracy. Also, this model features a variable color temperature from 3200-5600K for quickly matching either daylight or tungsten sources without needing to mess around with gels.

The lights offer a spot beam angle of 45°, as well as dimming from 0-100%. Benefiting operation, it can run from either a DC source, such as a Gold mount or V-mount battery, or a universal 100-240 VAC adapter. The light is durable as well, with an aluminum chassis, frame, and mounting yoke, and it only consumes 30W of power. Additionally, it is lightweight at just 4 lb and measures 12 x 6 x 2" in size.

And the answer, with the light (as mentioned by David R.) set at a median color temperature, is right around 4400 Lux at one meter. [Yes] I had my doubts after only using Arri lights, but wow. This thing is fantastic. You might need some black wrap to make a spot for low-key set ups, because the barn doors aren't enough to do the trick. I think that a soft box might be overkill since this light seems softer over all. Great for interviews, etc. Love that it uses batteries, albeit they are expensive. 5

[30 W ] I shoot a lot of interviews and projects inside gyms. These lights provide a lot of light for their size. I shoot on an URSA Mini Pro, and these lights just look beautiful on my subjects. I love that I can dial in the color temperature. I also want to mention that I had a minor issue with the lights at first. I called Dracast customer service, and I got someone on the line right away. They helped me troubleshoot the issue and got it resolved that day. Very happy customer here. 5

[CRI 95] I purchased three of these lights with the gold mount battery plate from B&H's Deal Zone and got three Dracast barndoors and three Dracast air-cushioned light stands free. The LED500 Pro bi-color lights are incredible. The build is crazy durable. The chassis & frame, the yoke, the knobs, the rocker switch, etc. are all VERY high quality. These lights are professional quality (95 CRI), and look professional. They really pack a punch. The light they cast is flicker free. There are 250 daylight temperature and 250 tungsten temperature LED bulbs. If set to 3200K or 5600K, only 250 bulbs are on but are still VERY bright. If set between 3200K and 5600K all 500 bulbs are on and even more bright. The 0-100% dimming is also excellent. The only potential negative is that the 500 led bulbs are exposed. The instruction manual said my light was supposed to include x1 Clear plastic LED board protector, but it did not. It came with a piece of laminate wood that slides into the slot on the front of the frame with shredded edges. The clear plastic would have looked much nicer. The wood just looks like more packing material. Each light comes with a heavy-duty black canvas carrying case with handle and optional strap that will hold the light and yoke inside and the AC adaptor/cords in an outside pocket. There is a 10-foot XLR cord that connects the light to the adapter, and then another 10-foot power chord that connects the adaptor to a wall for a total of a 20' of AC adaptor/cords. The barndoors from Dracast are great as barndoors go. Unlike many barndoors, these are rigid and actually stay in place once opened or closed. The Dracast DLS-805 air-cushioned light stands are decent considering the price. They extend to 7.2'. The knobs are plastic, so I will have to be careful with how I tighten them. The legs were somewhat difficult to open and close initially. Each stand comes with a black canvas carrying case I am VERY happy with the purchase. 5
