Expanding on their line of panels, the Dracast Plus Series LED2000 Bi-Color Light Panelfrom Dracast Plus Series LED2000 Bi-Color Light Paneladds a digital display for adjusting output as well as 5-pin XLR DMX input and output for linking and has a standard 4-pin XLR DC input for power. The light features 2048 LEDs with a high CRI of 95 for excellent color accuracy. Also, this model features a variable color temperature from 3200-5600K for quickly matching either daylight or tungsten sources without needing to mess around with gels.

The light offers a spot beam angle of 45°, as well as dimming from 0-100%. Benefitting operation, it can run from either a DC source, such as a 28.8V Block battery, or a universal 100-240 VAC adapter. The light is durable as well, with an aluminum chassis, frame, and mounting yoke, and it only consumes 130W of power. Additionally, weighs 9.5 lb and measures 15 x 24 x 2" in size.

Q: 1. Hi, I would like to know if the free Dracast 90Wh 14.8V Lithium-Ion V-Mount Battery will b charged on the Dracast LED500 or need an extra battery charger not included?

A: You would need to purchase a battery charger for the Dracast battery included with this panel. A charger which can be used is the IndiPRO Tools D-Tap Pro Battery Charger B&H # INPD1013. Please see the image below for reference.

Q: 2. Is this the barndoors for the Dracast 1000D Silq 22x15.7x3.5 unit? If not which one do I need?

Q: 3. Has anyone found an affordable storage/travel solution for this giant light? Soft or hard case/bag?

A: We do not have any dedicated travel bag or case for the LED2000 lights. However, we do have a couple of hard cases that will work. One is 29x18x10 and the other is 30x21x18 . Whether they are affordable or not depends on your budget. Q: 4. Does Dracast LED1000 Plus Series Daylight LED Light come with a battery?

A: No they don't but they are battery capable. When you order the light you have to decide which of 2 battery fittings you want on the light. Choose carefully, as some batteries are more expensive than others. I just plug into a wall socket or carry a large diehard battery pack with a regular wall plug built in.Try the Dracast website for more info.

Q: 5. Are the listed fixture dimensions (30.5 x 15.2 x 5.1 cm) with, or without the yoke attached?

A: Without yoke panel only.

Q: 6. Will this light take a V mount battery?

A: A V mount battery plate is included.

Q: 8. Is this great for reception wedding wherein you want to light up the reception (when dark) ?

A: These LED are more designed for use in a interview. For use in a wedding it will highly be dependent on the camera settings and the size of the venue.

Q: 9. Manual dimming shown in video but not pictured. Wanted to make sure these were the updated versions with manual control knobs for dimming. Are they?

A: Manual control, on the Studio Series, is done by buttons, not rotating knobs. If you require 5-pin DMX connections, and if Cat5/RJ45 is unacceptable, please specify at the time of order. [16 lb] I bought the previous version of this light from Dracast directly and had some issues with it. I called the company and after some more issues, I finally got to a person who was very helpful, ha made the situation right and even replaced the faulty unit with this version, which was very generous and great because this light is amazing. It's nearly impossible (and not worth the trouble) to run it off batteries, but it is such a large source, that it creates gorgeous, soft light with some spun in front of it. The micro-shadows are non-existent, the hardware is tough, and the led is far more accurate than guessing at some vague lines on a dial. 5

[130 W ] I shoot a lot of interviews and projects inside gyms. These lights provide a lot of light for their size. I shoot on an URSA Mini Pro, and these lights just look beautiful on my subjects. I love that I can dial in the color temperature. I also want to mention that I had a minor issue with the lights at first. I called Dracast customer service, and I got someone on the line right away. They helped me troubleshoot the issue and got it resolved that day. Very happy customer here. 5

[130 W ] The way this light works is that when you dial in all tungsten for example, only the tungsten lights are on and the daylight ones are off, so your light output is less. Same with dialing in all daylight. If you put the dial in the middle, then ALL the lights are on and it's much brighter, but you get mixed lighting... I chose this light because I rarely shoot in and ALL tungsten or ALL daylight environment...always mixed lighting in some way. So, instead of screwing around with gels (full, half, quarter, whatever) just turn the dial!!! 5

[45°] This is a well-constructed dimmable light fixture with an excellent light output. The yoke is also well-constructed and features a handy 2-way stud receptacle. I say it's handy because I had to use the horizontal opening to attach to the light stand - this was because the soft-box attachment needed to be clear of the yoke - impossible to do when the light was mounted vertically.� The only downside was the very high color temperature. You need gels or plastic sheets to correct the CT. Mine are on backorder so I was stuck on an interview shoot that needed 2700K. 5

[130 W ] I'm both a professional photographer and cinematographer and I bought this originally for location video work. The output is incredible (My meter reads f-11 at 1/50 of a second at ASA 400 from 4' away.) The large source produces a much more pleasing light than smaller source led's just by the size and I was able to fake a chimera (strobe-based softbox) on it and it looked amazing.The dimming is accurate and flicker-free and the color is near perfect (certainly better than any other LED I have used) It only weights 10 pounds and while it's large, the quality of the light makes it worthwhile for me to take it on location. It's also powerful enough to use for still work, similar to how you would use a kino - but def requires some opal or tough spun to soften. Also their customer service is the best - No complaints! 5
