Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this send two discrete channels of audio if used with a Lectrosonics SRc5P Dual-Channel Slot-Mount ENG Receiver?

A: Yes.

Q: 2. will this cable work for inputing IFB using Lectrosonics LT transmitter from LiveU 600 ?

A: If your device has an 1/8'' audio output then yes, you can go from that into your Lectrosonics transmitters using the Remote Audio CALEC1/8T5FS cable.

Q: 3. Can this adapter be used to bring sound from two different sources into a camera like the Sony A7 III?

A: Yes but be careful - the inputs on the camera are Mic level and if the sources are Line level they could overload the inputs and distort. Are you hoping to use them with a mixer or other source that has mini-XLR's (TA5)?

Q: 4. Does the Tram TR50 mic really fit loosely in the clips, as some have reported? (I just want to make sure whether it's common to the design or if some just received a dud.)

A: Mine fits snuggly but it's still pretty new.

Q: 5. Will this work with a Zaxcom rx200 reciever?

A: Yes, the Cable Techniques CT-LPST5A3M-24 LPS Low-Profile TA5F to Dual Right-Angle XLR3M Y-Cable is compatible for use with the Zaxcom R200 Wireless Receiver which has a TA5 (5-pin mini-XLR) output connector.

Q: 6. I have a COS-11D lavalier mic with TA5F connector for Lectrosonics. Will this adapt it for use on Sennheiser AVX transmitter?

A: The PSC Locking 3.5mm TRS to TA5F Cable for Lectrosonics PDR has a female TA5 connector meant for the Lectrosonics PDR's male TA5 input jack. It will not connect to a microphone's female TA5 output.

Q: 7. Does this cable keep the stereo output separated at the 1/8 end or does it sum to mono?

A: The Remote Audio CALEC1/8T5FS's stereo output is summed to mono.

Q: 8. Has anyone used this cable to feed the stereo out on the MIXPRE to a Lectrosonics SPDR to use as a backup recorder?

A: Feeding the Lectrosonics SPDR Stereo Portable Digital Recorder from the 3.5mm Stereo output of a Sound Devices MixPre Series recorder is an excellent application for the Remote Audio Unbalanced Adapter Cable 3.5mm RA to TA5F for Stereo Outputs into Lectrosonics Transmitters.

Q: 9. Can you connect a Midas DL152 to DL151 to make a digital snake?

A: Unfortunately you cannot daisy chain the Midas DL15x series of I O boxes. The DL15x is intended to be directly connected to the Midas DL371 via the AES50 ports. The DL16 and DL32 IO boxes can be daisy-chained when used with the Midas M32 or Behringer X32 consoles. I have attached these various products for clarification purposes. All of which can be found on the B&H website.

Q: 10. Each of the TA5F ends receives a summed L/R mono - correct? Just confirming this does NOT separate left from right.

A: The Cable Techniques CT-P35RLT2-24 DOES in fact split left and right channels between the two TA5 connectors. The purpose of the cable is to enable transmission of a L/R stereo mix from a 3.5mm source.

[24" / 60 cm] We used this cable to shoot MOTS (after a convention meeting), and we weren't tethered to the camera. We had more freedom of motion than if we'd been cabled to the camera. The audio was excellent and I'd recommend this cable to anyone in the industry!

[0.1 lb] Only two ways to go here. It works and does what it was supposed to or it doesn't work at all. 5 stars pretty much indicates the thing works. Nuf said?

[0.1 lb] This product works as indicated. My main grip was that it is extremely expensive for a cable.

[0.1 lb] Cleaned up my rig nicely. I like that you can partially remove the caps and rotate where the cable exits the XLR end. Very handle for camera rigging.
