Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. how long is the length of cable from the XLR connectors to where they meet?

A: the 6' cable splits in half (3') where the mini plug end breaks into the 2 xlrs

Q: 2. Will this allow a Zoom H6 line out signal to be sent into both XLR ports of the Ursa Mini Pro camera?

A: Yes, the Hosa stereo mini to dual XLR cable can be used to send the line out audio from a Zoom H6 to the XLR inputs on the Ursa Mini Pro camera. Since you are sending a line level signal, make sure that you set the camera inputs for line level audio.

Q: 3. Is this cable shielded?

A: Yes, it uses OFC spiral shielding. Best regards, Hosa Support.

Q: 4. What is the size of the mini end? is it 1/8 ?

A: Yes 1/8 on one end, 1/4 on the other.

Q: 5. How will the tracks record if this was used with a DJI Mic system (two mics and one receiver) connected to a Zoom recorder via 3.5mm to dual XLR?

A: In theory it should work. The DJI receiver has a 3.5mm unbalanced TRS jack so that should split ok to two separate channels on your Zoom with this adapter. I've not tried that personally, but seems like it would work.

Q: 6. Can I use this to connect the Rode Wireless Go II Receiver to two XLR inputs on a Zoom 6 audio recorder?

A: Yes, a cable like that can work to connect to two XLR mic inputs. The wireless Go II can use stereo output to split each channel, to be recorded on separate tracks on the Zoom F6 or H6.

Q: 7. What is the distance of the spread of 2 XLRs from the Y-junction?

A: It splits in the middle, so approximately 5 feet on each end, meaning the spread would be approximately 10 feet. Best regards, Hosa Support.

Q: 8. Is this a mono XLR or a 2 channel XLR cable?

A: Not sure. I ASSUMED 2 channel, but I didn't do anything to test that assumption.

Q: 9. how long is the length of cable from the XLR connectors to where they meet?

A: Hi Greg, the length of cable between the XLR connection to where they both meet is approximately 16 inches.

Q: 10. Will this cord work with an iPad for shooting video?

A: No! It will send you audio signal to where ever you plug it in, which would have to be that accepts XLR connectors. This is an audio cable and will not work with digital video, unless you are transferring or sending the audio signal which can be separated from the video with pro equipment. Based on your question, you probably are not a professional. By the way, the industry term is cable . Cord refers to lamp cord, or what's called zip cord. It's used on all sorts of consumer products, but is not suitable for anything other than the power source, that is plugging into an electrical outlet.

[Hosa] Seems to be well-made and durable, and is certainly a great price. Never been let down by B&H. Using it to connect laptops to a Fender PA line in for presentations.

[Hosa] I had been looking for a headphone cable for my keyboard for a while. The only ones I could find were 1/4”-3.5mm adapters which usually compromises the stereo sound cutting in and out. This cable from B&H is amazing...10’ long and hard wired jacks on each end. I am totally satisfied and the package came really quick, even during this Covid 19 pandemic. Great job!

[Hosa] I'm a free-lance audio engineer, and recently several of my clients bought very poorly made versions of this cable, which are often the lynchpin of some big shows. It's funny (well, not at the time) how many problems have been caused by cheepo cables. These have good solid connectors and are well put together. A few bucks more, but nothing compared to a blown gig.

[Hosa] Exactly what I needed to sync a treadmill and ultrasound unit. Works great so far. Only downfall is I wish they sold longer ones.
