[1.2 lb] I really love this Camera... Works great. Picture quality is great, controls are easy, very light camera, but very rugged as well. When shooting freehand with a Steady Stick, I find that focusing Long Distances is difficult with manual focus and impossible with Auto Focus (I primarily shoot a lot of RC A/C.. Distance shots even zoomed in hard to focus through the viewfinder and using the flip out monitor in daylight is useless as you just get blinded.... I Have a GY-HM100U camera and I do not have the RC shooting problem that I have with the 180, However this is a minor issue for me. However, even with all of that, I really like the camera. Heavy Duty, Great Video, works well...


Inside use of the camera is 2nd to none... everything works great and as advertised as does shooting at night does very very well.



One feature that I noted is the Remote Port... It is actually LANC and works well with LANC Devices, even though it is not advertised... A great feature that JVC should push, but do not seem to do.

[1.2 lb] We ended up using the rain cover bag more than the porta brace armor. Both worked very well!!

[1.2 lb] Awesome product, horrible customer service. The bag works great, fits my camera perfectly and room for a few accessories without over packing the bag. But if you might need customer service, don't expect it from BNH, buy elsewhere.

[1.2 lb] The PMW 350 needs air flow and this cover accounts for that....do not cram your investment in an ill-fitting cover that starves the camera for air...you will regret it down the road!

[1.2 lb] Very please. Well made, perfect fit. I have been buying PortaBrace bags and cases since 1994. Never been dissatisfied or disappointed.

[1.2 lb] I decided to get this bag because of Porta Brace's outstanding reputation and the fact that it's a near-perfect fit for the HM170, although it would also fit other smallish camcorders. The inside of the bag is burnt orange with a tight black document pocket on one side. It comes with a velcro divider. With the HM170 in the bag there's about 3-4 inches of clearance in front of the camera, assuming you push the camera all the way to one side. There's probably 1-2 inches of clearance on the sides of the camera. These measurements were taken with the lens hood and microphone mounted. (See attached photo) I would say there's enough room for the camera, power supply, a few batteries, and some small items but not much else. All in all, an excellent bag that will stand the rigors of the field.

[1.2 lb] I really like Porta Brace products. The quality of their products is second to none. This Camera Body Armor does a great job of protecting the camera. It does take a little effort to get it to fit exactly but once it's on and cinched down, it stays in place and provides years of service. The new blue fabric Porta Brace is using, while softer and a little more pleasant to the touch, seems to attract and retain dirt more than the cordura material they used to use.

[1.2 lb] Used this to protect my GY-HM700 in the rainforest's of the Congo for a month. It wasn't rainy season, but always having easy, accessable protection from pop up storms was worth every dollar. I've used Porta Brace products in the past and have always loved how they protect the gear.
