Help protect your Sony PXW-FS7 camera from the rigors of filming in cold weather with the black PortaBrace Polar Bear Camera Cover for FS7from Porta Brace. For impressive build quality; Porta Brace has constructed this cover with tough, durable nylon and a thick padded lining for superior insulation. The lining is made of PCM, a temperature stabilizing, phase-change material designed to keep warm air in the camera chamber. This is vital for preventing condensation when moving from a cold location to a warmer setting. Use the cover with air-activated warmers like the two included polar heat packs.

The spacious interior accommodates the camera with a matte box and standard lens. Multiple zippers allow for easier camera installation and removal. The cover features a snug zipper around the tripod plate for keeping out the cold during tripod use. Two hand openings at the lens and one by the viewfinder are surrounded by cotton cuffs that keep both the camera and your hands warmer. Polar Covers have been successfully tested at temperatures as low as -50°F. Of course, use at lower temperatures is dependent upon a variety of factors that include wind, humidity, number of warmers, and more.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this bag big enough for an Fs7 and a lens or two?

A: Yes, it is that big and more. Please see the images of the interior of the bag on the B&H website. https://bhpho.to/2hqvbVU

Q: 2. What size lens will this cover? Measurements?

A: PortaBrace Rain Cover for Nikon D850 Camera (Black) measurements under the lens coverage is 8'' L x 4.5'' W. It has a drawstring closure to easily adjust any lens size under 8''.

Q: 3. Will this rain cover also cover the lens (for example the 18-110 kit lens)?-Brian

A: PortaBrace says it tightly fits the lens hood.

Q: 4. Can I take this on a plane as a carry on?

A: No way. This case is HUGE. I actually returned it for that reason. Got a smaller Sachtler case instead.

Q: 5. What makes this RIG-FS7XT bag more specific to the FS7 than the RIG-3SRK bag, which costs $34 less?

A: The bags are identical with the difference being what extras come with them. Both of these bags have the same list price from PortaBrace. We were able to get a better price for those wanting the RIG-3SRK. Common to both bags are the: CS-CR CINCH Cam-Corder CinchHB-1040 Suede Shoulder Strap7 Padded Lens Cup4 Padded Lens CupWhite Balance CardThe RIG-FS7XT has:CARA-BRNZ Carabiner & FlashlightCS-B9 Cam-Corder Stuff Sack CS-CR-U Cam-Corder Universal CradlePB-812IP Padded iPad Carrying PouchThe RIG-3SRK has:CC-STUFFER Stuffer BlockDIV-7X13 7 x13 DividerIn the end the RIG-FS7XT for the FS7 wins by a hair because it has the CS-CR-U Cam-Corder Universal Cradle to hold the lens in place better. Plus it comes with a camera stuff sack, iPad pouch and Carabiner & Flashlight. If you get the RIG-3SRK and use it for the FS7, you would have the Stuffer block which may or may not work, a Divider you cannot use and you would not get the camera stuff sack, iPad pouch and Carabiner & Flashlight. $34 bucks extra for the $10,499.00 FS-7 is not bad.

Q: 6. what are the total dimensions?

A: Manufacturer does not explicitly provide those specs, but a quick call to Porta Brace may be helfpul to get verification - (802) 442-8171

Q: 7. is this wetsuit is made specialy for the xf 705?

A: Yes it is. This is a customer Rain Cover specifically for the Canon XF705.

Q: 8. Will this also fit the Sony FX6?

A: NO it will NOT fit the FX6

Q: 9. Porta Brace has put out a few different types of bags for the FS7. Im not sure what the difference is between the Porta Brace RIG-FS7 Top Opening Rigid Case for Sony FS7 and the Porta Brace RIG-FS7XT Carrying Case with Kit for Sony FS7.Do both of these bags have wheels on the bottom? Are they both small enough to be carry-ons on a plane?

A: The RIG-FS7XT is a wider bag that allows the FS7 to be carried with grip and viewfinder attached albeit compressed. This allows you to pull the camera out of the bag and be shooting in moments. However, this comes at the cost of carry-on size. Since the bag's exterior dimensions's of 21.3 x 15.0 x 16.0 (54.0 x 38.1 x 40.6) cm are greater than the carry-on size of 9 inches x 14 inches x 22 inches (22 cm x 35 cm x 56 cm), or the combined length, width and height, (including any handles and wheels) exceeds 45 linear inches (or 114 cm), it cannot be taken by you onto the aircraft. The RIG-FS7, on the other hand, is 21.5 x 10.0 x 12.0 (54.6 x 25.4 x 30.5 cm) and easily fits carry-on requirements. However, this means the case is much narrower and you must remove the right hand grip and the viewfinder before putting the camera in it.

Q: 10. Can you add wheels to these cases? I see an area on the bottom corner where there is velcro. Wondering if an axleand wheels can be threaded through that space and if the velcro is strong enough to hold?

A: You can actually select to have the weels included. They slip into the side with the taller front pocket (right side on the item default picture). There is also a handle that comes included for the case and you carry it similar to a rolling tripod case. For clarification, the FS7 sits on the high side when carrying on wheels, closer to the handle side you hold while wheeling it.The wheels BTW do not have a solid axle. They are on studs. I was a little worried but I ahve my bag LOADED and it has held up pretty well.

[Yes] Its about time someone made a bag that the camera can stay built.

Thats why I love it. Also it is big enough and has external pockets for all my things.

[Black] Smaller would have been nicer. Portabrace big but perfect solution for the Sony PXW-FS7 without having to ungear all accessories (ie: smart grip with shoulder mount, third party Zacuto Gratical evf, external recorder and so on). A lot of external pockets.
