The rugged and reliable design features the latest in connector technology and a cable that is extremely flexible for easy coiling.

The StageMaster stagebox is built from a thick 16 gauge connector plate with a blank template overlay that allows channel ID numbers to be written on it. The stagebox features Pro Co Duralink cable, and the fanout cable spread is 3-4' long to allow for the individual connectors to link to multiple audio components.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How long is it

A: The Pro Co Sound Excellines Series 1/4 is 25 feet.

Q: 2. The picture says shows a 16 channel snake. Model # and description are for 24 channel snake. Is this a 24 channel snake priced at $279.95?

A: Yes, it is a 24-channel snake based on the model number and description.

Q: 3. How effective is this on a vocal condenser mic? I want to put this mute switch in line between the mic and an affects processor which will supply phantom power.

A: It works quite well. I use a Shure SM35 headset mic when playing my electric upright and use this to kill my mic when I'm not singing. It works great with external phantom power. It does suck batteries, though, if you have it off a good bit. I go through a 9v Duracell Quantum battery every 1.5 gigs. However, when the power dies, it defaults to the mic being on, so you don't lose your mic in mid-set if the battery dies. If you're using a powered pedalboard or can run from the wall wart, you'll be fine. Switching is quiet, so you don't even notice when you turn the mic on and off. Overall, it's a great pedal and I use it every week.

Q: 4. What are the dimensions of the XLR box itself? Specs say 19" x 19" but that seems way too big. The picture looks more like 8" x 8" or 9" x 9". Can you verify?

A: I called and Woody at Pro Co looked it up; it's 7 x 7 x 3"

Q: 5. It seems that this device Input is XLR, does it means that it is a mono input only? no stereo input?

A: This device is mono input only.

Q: 6. Could I get a 24x Send + 4x 1/4" TRS Stereo Phone Male Return 25' ? Thanks . . .

A: PRRFB24X4P50 is the only one, but its 50'...

Q: 7. Does phantom power pass thru this without issue from the input to the direct out?

A: My guess is if you turn on phantom on one mic pre only, it ought to work... (Phantom power comes from a mic pre, connected to one of the 2 outputs) Contact Pro Co to confirm: Pro Co Sound Tel: 800-253-7360 or 269-388-9675 Website http://www.procosound.com/ Email info@procosound.com https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/393443-REG/Pro_Co_Sound_MS42A_MS_42A_4_Channel_Microphone.html/specs

A: thank you for your question. The photo in the listing is a representation of the chassis for the snake. If you purchase this item, the snake you will receive will have XLR returns.

Q: 9. Do you pseudo design these to make them balanced cables? Soldering the (-) to the ground ?? I have klark teknik dn 504 quad compressors and need at least six of these cables re-configured.

A: We cannot offer modification advice.

Q: 10. How flexible is it? Would it be appropriate for field use

A: There isn't a way for us to test how flexible this cable is but this cable is known to be rugged and used in harsh environments.

[Yes] This is a simple but well built piece of sound equipment. I've used it on two shows already and it feels very solid. Using it at a high school.

[24 AWG] I help run a convention and asked that they purchase this box to make setting up the main stage a lot easier. It was great having one central location for all my connections on stage. The box was very ruggedly designed. This was possibly one of the best purchases we made this year.

[32.5 lb] 4 channel xlr snake great for recording small drum setup in next room. Durability unknown but is built solid, the distal connector box is basically a weapon, so I am hopeful it will last some time.

[24 AWG] I use this as a sub snake at Church. This replaces a bunch of long microphone cables to the back wall. I use two of these snakes to split up the vocalists and keep cable clutter to a minimum. I am pleased with the build quality. The only suggestion would be to make the channel numbers larger/easier to read.

[24 AWG] We have installed this in our project studio between the control room and our tracking room. 8 XLR mic inputs into the control room on USA made high quality 24ga mic cables, and 4 TRS stereo headphone returns to the tracking room. What a great solution and at a great B&H price. ProCo is quality stuff, Very Pleased!

[Analog] I bought this to install in a church. We had a 137-foot run under the stage, down the side of the auditorium, and over to the mixing console, so a 150-foot snake was perfect. The cable and connectors are durable and tolerated us pulling through twisty paths and around corners for our 137 distance. Once everything was connected, we tested all lines and everything worked perfectly. Couldn't be happier!

[Analog] So far so good, nothing really to write home about with this snake. It does what it is supposed to do with no problems
