The Heliopan 43mm Close-Up +1 Camera Lensis a convex diopter designed to decrease the minimum focus distance of any lens in order to produce a shorter working distance for close-up photography. Available in varying strengths, close-up lenses also feature 43mm front filter threads for combining two or more filters to fine-tune results.

The front and rear surfaces of the filter both feature a single anti-reflection coating. Each coating helps to increase light transmission by reducing reflections, scattered light, and ghosting. Additionally, they offer protection to the filter substrate while helping to keep the glass clean for longer than uncoated glass.

This Heliopan filter is constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. It features a brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

A: I have both the b+w NL 2 and 3 for my Fuji 60mm macro. They are Schneider glass so good. They will allow me go work with the 60mm lens now because a straight 1:2 did not give the results I was after. I also tried the Fuji lens that you insert between the camera and the 60mm lens but that really did not work. The lens hunted forever and would start hunting again if anything moved even a millimetre. Hope this helps somewhat. RL

Q: 4. Can these lens work with the Canon 28 mm macro lens?

A: Yes they will fit the Canon EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM Lens.

Q: 5. Is this a double or single element lens?

A: The Nikon add on lens is single element.The best one I found and is double element is by Canon. It comes in two types one is the D250 D500. The D250 is about 2-3 times magnification and the D500 and that is around 5 times.

Q: 6. Will this work with sigma 70-200?

A: I don't think so. Pretty sure that was made specifically for the Sigma 18-300. It's basically a big magnifier that screws onto the end of the lens, which has a 72mm filter size. Check the filter thread size of your 70-200; if it is 72mm maybe it'll work.

Q: 7. Will this affect picture quality if I attach it to the sigma 18-300 all the time ?

A: You should use it only when trying to shoot macro. Otherwise AF will not work properly.

Q: 8. Is this lens single or dual element?

A: The Heliopan 82mm Close-Up +1 Lens has a single-element Convex design.

Q: 9. Is Heliopan Digital ES 77.no3 macro?

A: It works similar to macro in that it allows you to get closer to a subject, lessening the minimum focus distance.

Q: 10. If I am using a TLR camera, do I need to buy two of these? One of the taking lens and one for the viewing lens? Or is it a set?

A: Two of the Heliopan 72mm Close-Up +3 Lens should be used on both lenses on the TLR camera. Note, that it has not been tested and adding a filter to each lens might not fit well because of the thickness of the filter frame.

[0.1 lb] I use this with my Polaroid 180, using a finder from the close up set made for the Polaroid 250 (much cheaper than the set made for the 180). I use a 45-46mm filter adapter in order to mount this to the lens. This should also work for the Polaroid 190, 195. In the case of my 180, the the addition of the adapter ring means that this lens is not at the same distance as what the RF finder was calibrated for. I found that with the camera RF set at the 8 feet mark, the focus in the RF is correct with the image focus. That makes it very simple to make closeups. It has the usual high quality of construction from Heliopan. The brass ring means that it can be removed easily from my aluminum filter ring adapter without binding. It's a great item for taking pictures of flowers in the garden. 5

[43 mm] I was surprised to find that Nikon made a Close up Lens in a 52mm thread. It works very well, and works even better at the end of a set of extension tubes. I use mine on the working end of a 50mm f/1.8D Nikon Lens. I only wish Nikon would make the same quality close-up lens in a 40, 62, 67, 72, and 77mm thread 5

[+1] This high quality lens is multicoated, so the risk of flare is minimized. Also, the brass mount prevents seizing on lens mounts. As a Polaroid pack film buff, I use a 45-46mm step up ring in order to allow me to use common 46mm filters on my Polaroid 180. I think the 195 has the same 45mm filter size. Use the appropriate viewfinder goggles from a Polaroid 581A Portrait kit (for the 250, but the Zeiss rangefinder is the same as the 180), and the world is your oyster! This gets you out of the 5 feet minimum focus of the camera into an intimate portrait distance. The high quality of the close-up images, even wide open and at minimum focus, is quite astonishing. 5

[43 mm] Perfect for close ups on bugs, frogs, flowers, mushrooms, etc. Its heavy but really cheap and hand if you dont have hundreds of usd to buy a macro. 5

[0.1 lb] I do some charity work for the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep foundation. This requires some very close work of babies' hands and feet. Buying a dedicated macro lens was one option, but this fills the bill much better. I use it on a Nikkor 17-55 or 24-70. Saves changing lenses during a session and is plenty sharp considering the use for which it is intended. For this work it is a true bargain. 5
