The UL Certified Dracast LED500 Panel Power Supplyis a spare or replacement for the one that comes with the light. The 100-240 VAC power supply has a 4-pin XLR connector for the panel and a 3-prong US/North American plug for mains power.

A: While this is a very bright LED panel, the brightness would depend on how far this panel is placed from the subject, how high or low the dimmer is set and which color temperature the panel is also set for.

A: Unfortunately, this light is not recommended for on-camera use due to the weight. It is recommended for use on a light stand.

Q: 3. Would these lights be appropriate in a studio situation where they would be mounted to a wall or track 10-15 feet from the subject? Thanks.

A: It will depend on the overall space and the camera settings. Your results may vary.

Q: 4. What softbox or diffusion plate is recommended for this unit?

A: There are a few different softboxes that will work. The one I would recommend on the top is Dracast Softbox for LED500, B&H # DRSB500 MFR # SB-500.

Q: 5. Hi there. I am in the process of fabricating a whole bunch of LED panels in various custom sizes from 10cmx10cm to 10x50cm. The slot in my plans to receive the honeycomb would accept these. Can you custom build? And do you? Cheers

A: We do not do any custom building of honeycombs.

Q: 6. Is this compatible with the Gel frame for this light?

A: The barn door has a slot built in for gels. I bought both the barn doors and the gel frame. Because of the barn door design, I will never need the gel frames.

Q: 7. Will this PSA work with the new 1000-X RGB LED panel?

A: Yes they are compatible.

Q: 8. What is the output at 1 metre at both 3200k and 5500?

A: At 3200K 2700 lux / 251 fc at 3' (1 m) At 5600K 1950 lux / 181 fc at 3' (1 m)

Q: 9. What is this honeycomb grid supposed to do? And does it do what its supposed to do?

A: It prevents the light from spreading compared to the light without the grid.

Q: 10. Will this fit onto the genaray outfit 500 Bi-color LED?

A: No, that barn door does not fit the Genaray Outfit 5000 Bi-color LED.

[2.5 A] The material arrived a bit bent most likely because of the packaging and did seem to stay a little bit warped no matter how many times I try to straighten it, but other than that works great!� Still slides in between the Barndoors and LED bulbs just fine!� This is definitely a must have accessory! 5

[1.6 lb] As will all honeycomb grids, this will reduce light output. The purpose of this is to narrow the focus of the light, and it does this very well. LED lights typically spill all over the place, and this will give you a more focused, dramatic looking light. 5
