It folds straight up at 90° to protrude just 3.5" from the wall. Fasteners for direct attachment to wood and metal studs or concrete surface are not included.

Q: 1. What is the required depth (overhang) for the desk clamp? Not the thickness.

A: This is not a published specification. Looks to be about 2 inches.

Q: 2. Would this possible work with the BenQ PV3200PT 32 monitor? It is 25.5 lbs, which is just over. Wondering if I could still make it work?

A: I think you'll be fine. I have two of these. One is holding a 43 Hisense TV that I use as a second monitor. It's a little lighter at 22 pounds, but I have it on an extension arm. (Essentially another of the top arms). It's over the rating of the unit with the extension, but it's been fine.Also, I move these around. I'm not just making an adjustment and then leaving them alone. I make a lot of use of the ability to move them closer when I'm working and back out of the way when I'm done.I'm very pleased with them and would buy again if I needed another mount.

Q: 3. will this work with a Dell 27" display? Is it easy to mount

A: The Ergotron LX Desk Mount Monitor Arm will support any monitor up to 34", weighing less than 25 lbs. and with a VESA mounting pattern of 75 x 75 to 100 x 100 mm. Installation is fairly straight forward and simple.

Q: 4. Please explain the note 9 inch extension available ??

A: This means you can get a further 9 extension if you add the following arm.

Q: 5. Can the cylinder be removed from the clamp so it can be used in a console case?

A: The Ergotron LX Desk Mount Monitor Arm (Matte Black), BH # ER45241224, does not feature a removeable cylinder. It is integrated into the flat base and clamp asswembies.

Q: 6. Will this support the Cintiq 27QHD?

A: Short answer - No. As previously stated regarding Macs, the way this connects is with a plate and screws. I have the smaller Cintiq (not the 27) and it does not have the appropriate connection. I doubt the 27 does either. This is made specifically for monitors that have the VESA mount.

Q: 7. Is this item compatible with an Apple Studio Display?

Q: 8. How much space (height) is necessary under the desk? I have a cable manangement tray in the backside of my desk and I wonder if this may interfere with the bracked.

A: As others said, the height is around 4".

Q: 9. Can this be used with an iMac? Would I need any extra adaptors or anything to mount it to an iMac?

A: it won't work, as the new iMac doesn't let you do custom mount.

Q: 10. How close can you get it to the wall? Specifically how much distance is there between the last joint and the mounting bracket?

A: Using the Ergotron LX Desk Mount Monitor Arm (White), you could potentially mount a monitor about 3-4" away from a wall.

[360°] best monitor mount i've found... i have several now ...from someone who's tried a lot, nothing worse than a chinsy mount, and this one is heavy duty, adjustable spring tensioners... just be prepared to update cable lengths as you'll require 36" onto whatever cable you use now 5

[9.0 lb / 4.1 kg] ...i have been buying mounts over the years; setting up, moving and replacing many studio/offices. and for the moment, this ergotron LX-Series is my new favorite in terms of quality, build, articulation, adjustibility and overall function. These are not small. and these are not cheap. but if you want solid quality, they certainly fit the bill. ... a few suggestions / lessons learned . (1) always use best cables and keep in mind you'll need no less than say a 3meter lengths. that's 1.5meter to lace up the arm to your desk, then additional length to reach the port replicator or computer. (i've found 3meters are most used, 5 meters are my favorite). (2) hardwood desktops or millwork is a must. the amount of force transmitted onto the deskclamp is basic phyics. And at the risk of stating the obvious, do not expect pressboard or light-weight consoles to hold. (3) never can have enough pole rings (PN#97-844). ergotron is great at supplying necessary hardware in their kits, with exception of the pole rings. ... for some reason they seem to skimp and only ever send one ring with the monitor LX-sit-stand kit. and if you want to mount this keyboard to the desktop kit, it is perfect but you'll need an additional ring. All told, the ergotron LX series sit-stand products are top-shelf and premium... my recommendation, if you've the time, would be to contact BHPhoto tech team, who i am sure would have lot's of great advice and options beyond my little write-up. keep well, everyone ! and stay healthy. 5

[13.0" / 33.0 cm] This is perfect if you want to use a monitor with a racing simulator setup (as in a chair setup you wheel over to your desk), but also wish to use it at your desk like a normal display. The reach and steadiness of the arm is beyond reproach: even perched at an extreme angle with a DD wheel setup vibrating nonstop, this holds steady. 5

[9.0 lb / 4.1 kg] I wanted a monitor support to replace the stand that came with my monitor which just took up too much desk space. I have used the Ergotron monitor arms in a factory setting and they held up perfectly. So this was my first choice for home. I know they are strong and will not sag over time. The adjustability is excellent and assembly is easy. Best monitor support out there. 5

[35.0" / 88.9 cm] The white model does not include the grommet mount, despite what B&H's listing details say here. Only the black and aluminum do, per Ergotron's website. This is perhaps due to white being less suitable for offices? Nevertheless I find the white quite handsome even with a black monitor. Arm is solid, nice build quality (white is metal not plastic), smooth adjustments, good reach with 34-inch ultrawide. Grommet mount can be purchased separately, model numbers 98-034 or 98-017. 5

[11.2 lb] Seems very sturdy. Love the extra desk space that an arm provides. Comes with hardware to clamp it or put it through a grommet hole. Had to watch the video a couple of times to get it adjusted, but was reasonably easy to install. Has a clean look. I do miss a feature on a previous arm that lets me take the monitor off the arm while it's on the desk without any tools, but this one holds a larger monitor so maybe it's impractical. 5
