...from someone who's tried a lot, nothing worse than a chinsy mount, and this one is heavy duty, adjustable spring tensioners... just be prepared to update cable lengths as you'll require 36" onto whatever cable you use now

[5.35 lb] Seems very sturdy. Love the extra desk space that an arm provides. Comes with hardware to clamp it or put it through a grommet hole. 
Had to watch the video a couple of times to get it adjusted, but was reasonably easy to install. Has a clean look. I do miss a feature on a previous arm that lets me take the monitor off the arm while it's on the desk without any tools, but this one holds a larger monitor so maybe it's impractical.

[5.35 lb] Works very well. I was concerned it might not work on my glass and steel desk but the clamp is very adjustable and fits just fine. As much as anything I appreciate that the tension is well calibrated so as I move the monitor it stays exactly where I put it which is helpful when side-by-side with another monitor. I do plan to buy a second one soon.

[5.35 lb] This desk mount monitor arm is perfect for my LG Ultrawide monitor. It was easy to put together and attach to my sit/stand desk. It's sturdy and a bit on the heavy side, but it works great.

[5.35 lb] Heavy duty, very adjustable to personal needs, smooth operation

[5.35 lb] I installed a 34 inch Samsung S34J55x on this arm and it works perfectly. The monitor weighs about 15 lbs. The arm allows me to position the monitor so that the viewing distance is about 18 inches. The arm extends the monitor about 22 inches from its base.


This is my second successful Ergotron install. Several years ago I installed two 24 inch monitors on an Ergotron dual monitor arm. The results were excellent which led to my purchase of the LX model.

[5.35 lb] ...i have been buying mounts over the years; setting up, moving and replacing many studio/offices. and for the moment, this ergotron LX-Series is my new favorite in terms of quality, build, articulation, adjustibility and overall function.

These are not small. and these are not cheap. but if you want solid quality, they certainly fit the bill.

... a few suggestions / lessons learned .

(1) always use best cables and keep in mind you'll need no less than say a 3meter lengths. that's 1.5meter to lace up the arm to your desk, then additional length to reach the port replicator or computer. (i've found 3meters are most used, 5 meters are my favorite).

(2) hardwood desktops or millwork is a must. the amount of force transmitted onto the deskclamp is basic phyics. And at the risk of stating the obvious, do not expect pressboard or light-weight consoles to hold.

(3) never can have enough pole rings (PN#97-844). ergotron is great at supplying necessary hardware in their kits, with exception of the pole rings. ... for some reason they seem to skimp and only ever send one ring with the monitor LX-sit-stand kit. and if you want to mount this keyboard to the desktop kit, it is perfect but you'll need an additional ring.

All told, the ergotron LX series sit-stand products are top-shelf and premium...

my recommendation, if you've the time, would be to contact BHPhoto tech team, who i am sure would have lot's of great advice and options beyond my little write-up.
