Q: 2. Where is it made?

A: The Shure SM7B Vocal Microphone is made in Mexico.

Q: 3. If I use this mic with the Zoom H5n as a preamp, do I need to buy a cloudlifter?

A: A Cloudlifter would be advised, because the output of the Shure SM7B is notoriously low. The mic pre amp 's on the Zoom H5n do not have enough gain, and you will have to tun up almost to the highest level, which would introduce noise in the signal. The loudlifter will add +25dB of clean gain, and make your recordings sound professional.

Q: 4. can it be shipped to india?

A: Unfortunately as an Authorized US Shure Dealer we are prohibited by the Manufacturer from shipping their products to addresses outside of the United States.

Q: 5. Need a recommendation for a voice mic to use with an M BOX Mini currently using a SHURE PE 515, I also have a SHURE 545L which I have not tried. Or, if I get a Shure SM7B will I be able to use my Passport 150 Pro as a pre-amp for the M BOX Mini?

A: The Shure SM7B is very low in natural since its a dynamic mic it needs alot of gain from your M BOX asnd doing so will introduce hiss from the M BOX bringing noise level up. The best we can advice is to get a cloud lifter and this will eliminate and hiss giving you a 25db of a boost.

Q: 6. Can I use this Sennheiser XS 1 with a mirror less camera?

[Solid-State] Have only used it on a high gain guitar cab so far, but my first impression is that it does a great job capturing the amp tone, but sounds smoother than a 57 without sounding dull. I have it paired with a Royer 101 and after about 2 minutes of mic placement, it sounds killer. Overall, just seems to do what a 57 does, but with less harshness. Sometimes you may want that harshness though so, of course, you should have both. :)

[Cardioid] I have a unit for one year and have been using it for all vocal recordings (in my home stutio) for my band since then. It's no surprise for me that it's capsule is known as "refference". Since it's the best mic I own, I avoid bringing it to the road, but I have used if a couple times in reharsals and the result was just spectacular. I experienced a great sound capture with NO FEEDBACK AT ALL even in moments when I was closer to the speakers than I should. My advice is: If you want a dynamic to make you impressed with a studio-like quality in live situations, just buy it!

[Mono] I own several mics (including AKG D5, and the usual Beta58 and 58). For my voice the D7 is the best. Open and cut the mix. The D5 is too muddy for me. The beta 58 is also fine but on my voice (baritenor) it is more middle.
The best remains the D7.
