At 5.4 lb the Dracast Pro Series LED1000 Daylight Light Panelfrom Dracast Pro Series LED1000 Daylight Light Panelis an ideal choice for studio or location work where color accuracy, control, and flicker-free output are of major importance. This 12 x 12" panel is significantly larger than the Pro Series LED500 unit. The LED1000's daylight-balanced output is well suited to outdoor work or for color-matching HMI fixtures, while its high CRI of 96 renders colors with precision and fidelity. Dimming from 0 to 100% is conveniently done with a back-panel knob that adjusts the output with negligible color shift. The low electrical draw of 60W means a timely return on your investment.

The durable anodized aluminum frame is supported by a sturdy, U-shaped yoke with locking knobs on each side and a standard 5/8" receiver. This LED1000 can be used worldwide thanks to its 100 to 240 VAC power adapter. You can also use the onboard V-mount battery plate with 14.8 VDC batteries when mains power is unavailable. Accessories include optional 4-way barndoors for contouring and control of the LED1000's 45° beam angle. A carry case is included for convenient storage and portability.

A: These lights have extra diffusion panels available. There is a clear acrylic LED protector in the light. Q: 2. What is the best way to make this light tungsten? I don't see any drop in panels for color changes only diffusion.

A: Just buy some CTO gels and clip them on the barn doors.

Q: 3. What are the TLCI numbers for this light? More specifically, what is the complete CRI standard (R96a, or CRI Extended...)? Without knowing this, I am hesitant to purchase.

[1x Case ] Had an architectural shoot requiring about 1000 images indoors. Lots of set-up and moving around. Light was barely warm to the touch, so made the shoot very efficient. Works very well when using as a ring light by placing it directly behind the camera body. 5

[11.5 lb] I have totally impressed that when I received these dracast LED 1000 it works great and it's also very easy to carry around because of its lightweight design. Its provides 45-Degree Beam Angle with AC or DC Operation. It's also color-accurate, and puts out a lot of throw. LEDs are a great compliment to any video lighting package. I would recommended these light. 5

[45°] I was looking for a light that was bright, had the option of a battery, could be used at some distance away from the subject, quick setup, and could be used on location within the business environment. After careful research of the various lights on the market I decided to the give the Dracast 1000 a try. The light performed flawlessly shooting groups , full length portraits, and head shots. The light has a strong frame, strong optional barn doors, nice quality of light with accurate color reproduction that wraps around your subject. The shoot was faster and easier than strobes. What you see is what you get. With the optional battery I didn't have to drag around electric cords and it eliminated the need for multiple test shots to balance strobes. It was a lot quicker and easier to move from location to location. The light comes with a soft case. I would recommend a hard case for better protection. I didn't care for the PVC tilt adjusting knobs and soft rubber washers. I wish it had a remote control and a digital read out for light output. All and all it is a great light and I will be purchasing another in the near future. I will be receiving a free gift for posting my comments. 5

[1x Case ] I purchased this LED1000 light for use with both still photography and motion video. The two big selling points were light quality (including CRI rating and output) and built in battery power options. I've been using it indoors for the past two weeks and love it. Originally I did not get the barn doors, but I 100% need to order a set, plus some type of softbox or similar to help diffuse the light when needed. Overall the quality of construction and light output are very impressive. For video this is my first off camera light panel and I would only want to buy more of this product when needing more light panels. 5
