A: In general Samyang and Rokinon are the same if both lenses list exact same specs, but we do not have a Samyang with T stop and gears for follow focus at this focal length and mount. The most similar Samyang is only F stop and no outside gears for follow focus.

A: The more expensive cine lens has the Dual Side markings, focus and aperture gears plus the coatings that are supposed to match the others in the set. Otherwise the lens performance will be comparable.

A: The answer to your question depends on the lens and what sensor size you are using for there is no universal matte box solution for ultra wide lenses. If you are using a 12mm Fish Eye on a Full Frame camera, no matte box will work. You might be able to use a 4x4 or larger filter holder. If you are using a 12mm on a MFT camera, you might be able to use a normal 4x4 matte box.

A: You could use the Rokinon 12mm T3.1 lens on a D600 for still photography, yes. The lens isnt limited to video use.
