The RDL Format-A Series Active Loudspeaker features a stainless steel grille and is designed to deliver rich, detailed sound while in Decora-style compatible wall or chassis mounts. The loudspeaker is a single-pair audio amplifier module compatible with RDL Format-A twisted pair products. The speaker is powered by its twisted pair cables, which also offer different channels to accommodate more than one sound source. A rear-panel switch set during installation determines which of the three Format-A pairs are amplified.

Amplification is provided by the built-in high-efficiency Class-D power stage amplifier with audio filtering tailored to produce crisp quality audio. The high-efficiency Class-D output stage amplifier produces negligible heat for all levels of voice or music modulation. The amplified output level is controlled by a front-panel volume control. The loudspeaker features a built-in analog compressor/limiter that makes higher sound output levels possible without clipping.

The built-in driver is constructed of materials found in premium larger speakers. The unique steel enclosure provides full baffling in a tightly sealed rigid structure. The benefit of this enclosure is that it's designed to provide sonic presence within an extended frequency range that would normally be expected from larger speakers. Internal filtering rolls off out-of-band frequencies to reduce distortion and increase peak power capability. Dispersion covers a spherical area of nearly 180 degrees with the speaker mounted in a wall.

Q: 4. Will it provide 48V phantom power to a plugged-in microphone?

A: The Alto Professional TS408 TrueSonic 4 Series 2000W 8" 2-Way Active Loudspeaker with Bluetooth, does not provide +48v phantom power for condenser microphones. If you use a microphone that requires +48V of phantom power, connect it to an external phantom power supply or mixer, before connecting it to the loudspeaker.

Q: 5. Can several of these speakers (only 2 or more?) have their settings adjusted via the app? Can the settings be copied across?

A: The Alto Professional TS410 2000W 10" 2-Way Active Loudspeaker with Bluetooth (BH # ALTS410XUS) features the Alto Mobile App which gives hands-on remote control over Bluetooth levels, speaker use modes, custom EQ and sub size selection. Further, true wireless stereo linking can be configured remotely via the app to save time during setup. Delay is not adjustable.

[RJ45] Incredible speaker for the price. Punchy for a 10 inch woofer, and a pair makes a super clear stereo field. I have a sub so the whole system is great. The only thing I don't like is the bluetooth connected announcement is super loud and can't be turned down, which is a bit startling during a quiet event, but definitely NOT a deal breaker. I am pleased. 5

[81 dB] Was slightly skeptical about the full range sound reproduction of a 10 woofer, but this speaker nails it just fine. While I'd love a slightly lower frequency, the TS-410 outperformed my expectations and I'm quite happy with it. 5

[0.4 lb / 0.2 kg] we own 4 DJ setups, 3 with Yamaha's and one with Presonus 12's. First of all, you can pick these up, they only weigh 38 pounds. Second, their continuous power output is the same as Yamaha's 2000 watt option. Third, they have the flattest performance curve of them so even at low back ground music outputs they are crystal clear with all the bass notes. My thoughts on why there are not more of these in use: mainly because they launched into the market at $750 each. Now for $599, it's a no brainer. 5

[81 dB] RDL's XLR jacks offer an attractive alternative to locking panel/wall jacks that eventually fail to lock/unlock. The Decora style makes it easy to match with other connectors in their line. 5

[0.4 lb / 0.2 kg] I bought 2 of these speakers to run out smaller workshop events with and to have them be the lead loudspeakers for our 500+ festivals where we rent 4-6 other similarly sized units. The vocals and cleanliness of music at nearly all volumes in unmatched. We love that these have a lot of manual controls (DEEP, flat, external sub + Vocal boost, normal) outside of the mixer to further tailor what we're using them for in any given set. Yes, these have the DEEP effect which adds a substantial amount of low end if you don't want to tie in subwoofers. Love them. 5

[RJ45] I bought this speaker for to use in my car to blast music everywhere I go. It gets the job done and it’s pretty loud but you are also able to link 2 of them together for some real fun!!!! Speaking of which I’ll probably go buy another one soon. PS: no it’s not rechargeable I just have a power supply. 5
