Transform your digital prints into three-dimensional works of art resembling an acrylic or oil painting with a 5 gal container of clear ECO Elegance Inkjet Print Gel - 5 Gallon Clearfrom Premier Imaging. Adding Elegance is easily accomplished with a roller, brush, or palette knife. A safe, water-based formulation, there's zero health risk from volatile solvents. Better yet, Elegance is non-crackling and won't flake off. The long-lasting, non-yellowing and non-reactive, formula is compatible with all inks. Compiling virtue from all it's not, Elegance crowns these achievements by also being non-toxic and requiring no special handling.

Elegance may be mixed with acrylics for color matching. For best results, use thin coats, and stretch your canvas prior to applying. By incorporating brush strokes and enhancing highlights one can endow their work with an old-master ambiance. Be sure to plan for a minimum of 24-hours drying time. When applying multiple coats, allow each coat to completely dry before starting subsequent coats. As printing paper is absorbent, one should prepare the surface with a sealer prior to working with Elegance.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I notice that there is no indicating color change. Is there a way to check this chemical using another method?

A: If you are concerned about it becoming exhausted you can test test it with a pH Test Meter or low cost pH Indicator Strips.

Q: 2. What is the expiration date for unopened containers of this?

A: This product has a shelf life of approximately 2 years, unopened. Once opened, the concentrate should be used within six months.

Q: 3. Does this have to be specially disposed or can it be poured down a regular drain?

A: According to the MSDS for this developer, this product should not be disposed of in bodies of water, in sewers or in the ground. Any used chemistry should be given to a licensed reclaimer for proper disposal.

Q: 4. How thick is this tape? More than a sheet of paper?

A: Yes, the Print File Archival Double-Sided Tape is thinner than a piece of paper.

Q: 5. How long will opened chemistry last?

A: Ambient conditions will play a big roll in this. In extremely hot conditions, where oxidation is fast, you might be looking at 6 months. That being said, one should typically get about two years.

Q: 6. I live in warm climate the Caribbean to exact so my water temp are generally 25-29 degrees all the time. Can I use this developer to develop at such temperatures?

A: It is important when using this developer to get the temperature down to 20 C, or 68 F. When the temperature is higher it is necessary to greatly shorten the developing time, otherwise the paper can be over developed, and gray out the whites. A little ice can help to lower the temperature.

Q: 7. Does this fixer have a hardener or must I add hardener?

A: There is no Alum Hardener in this fixer nor would I add any. Prints don't need a hardener and most modern film stocks do not require hardening.

Q: 8. What is the container? Hard container or collapsible? With or without spigot?

A: Collapsible containers are made of permeable materials that let oxygen in. I wouldn't recommend them for darkroom environments.

Q: 9. can this product be used on glossy photo paper?

A: No, the Premier Imaging Eco Print Shield Protective Coating Sample Kit is designed for canvas prints.

Q: 10. Can old Old color prints by Kodak & Ansco (not sure of name) be stored in these bags?

A: Yes.

[43.9 lb] Unlike some products, the gallon savings on this product are substantial. I pour it off to fill quart bottles, because it takes me a good while to work through it. Mixed 1:9, it has excellent capacity. I like the tones I get with it on my warm-tone papers, and that it seems to slightly diminish the tendency toward reddish mid-tones in selenium toner.

[43.9 lb] Hey, ya know what? I love this stuff. It works and apparently it's not too bad for the environment. So, it's a win for me. It is not like that garbage blue hypo wash toilet water that gets all clumpy at the bottom.

[Inkjet prints] Like all eco pro products, this one makes a lot of promises. And like all of the eco pro products I've used, this one seems to deliver. It is a bit slower than the previous paper developer I was using, but it is just as sharp.

[5 Gallon / 19 L] So far so good! Totally worth it to eliminate lengthy washing times for fiber prints. I don't have the time or the space to wash my prints for 30+ minutes after a darkroom session. This really helps.

[43.9 lb] Bought this product out of old habit as I am just setting up my wet chemistry station after a 20 year lull. I like that it is easy to mix and very economical. I like even more that it likely isn't necessary for my B/W roll film developed in the Eco-Pro low odour Fixer. I did not realise this until I received the bottle and read the label. As I only print digitally from scanned film, seems I really did not need this bottle at all, though I will keep it on hand if I need shorter wash times and or to use less rinse water such as those times when I am processing in the field.

[5 Gallon / 19 L] This washing aid seems to be a good choice, I've been using this for about three years now, and have good results. The low toxicity of this line of products is the main reason that I chose this to use.

[43.9 lb] I started with Ilford multigrade developer but that was out of stock and I moved to this. It works well and lasts a while in the darkroom during one session with the proper dilution. This developer is much warmer than I thought it was going to be, but the Ilford multigrade was a cool developer so this one is probably warm to neutral. I love the look.

[Inkjet prints] I bought this because my darkroom is in my basement and I want to take every precaution that I can to make sure I don't have toxic chemicals around my family. I seem to be pretty sensitive to chemical smells and I don't notice any perfume or chemical smell at all. I don't notice a difference in my prints since switching from the ilford developer I was using.
