Protect your prints from moisture, light, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints with a quart container of matte ECO Print Shield Matte Coating Quartfrom Premier Imaging. Applying Eco Print Shield is easily accomplished with a roller, brush, or HPLV spray gun. A safe, water-based formulation, there's zero health risk from volatile solvents. Better yet, Print Shield is non-crackling and won't flake off. The long-lasting, non-yellowing and non-reactive, formula is compatible with all inks. Compiling virtue from all it's not, Print Shield crowns these achievements by also being non-toxic and requiring no special handling.

For best results, use two coats of glossy finish as a primer, and a third coat in your choice of finish. This product is designed to always have a gloss finish primer. Gloss is needed as a primer because other finishes have matting agents which will build up and reduce your D-max and lower contrast. When applying multiple coats, allow each coat to completely dry before starting subsequent coats. Print Shield is abrasion, ozone, and water-resistant.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. CAN YOU USE THIS PRODUCT ON INKJET CANVAS?

A: Yes, it is compatible.

Q: 2. Just purchase a new ASUS ROG 18" STRIX SCAR (dim: 15.71 x 11.57 x 1.21"). Bag options appear limited. Will it fit in this bag?

A: The Laptop compartment for the Mobile Edge The ECO Messenger Bag (Olive), B&H # MOMECME9, can fit devices up to 16.8" x 11" x 2". It would not be able to accomodate the ASUS ROG 18" STRIX SCAR (dim: 15.71 x 11.57 x 1.21").

Q: 3. What gloss does Print Shield add or subtract from a print on a baryta paper?

A: The Premier Imaging PremierArt Print Shield Protective Coating Spray Can (13.5 oz) reduces the gloss making it more into a luster surface. It also provides print protection from scuffs and aging.

Q: 4. What is the expiration date for unopened containers of this?

A: If you did not open the container the expiration date should not impact the fixer

Q: 5. Is there a shelf life for the Eco Pro concentrate prior to mixing?

A: Unopened eco•pro Neutral Fixer and eco•pro Hypo Wash bottles should be kept in cool, dark conditions. The products have a virtually indefinite shelf life. Once opened, the concentrate should be kept in tightly closed glass, PET(PETE) or HDPE containers, and used within twelve months. For best results in small scale darkrooms, a large opened bottle should be divided into several small glass or polyethylene bottles filled to the top to minimize exposure to air. eco•pro Hypo Wash concentrate may form white crystals if it is stored in contact with air. If a significant amount of crystal forms, discard the solution and replace it with fresh stock. It is inadvisable to use eco•pro Hypo Wash which has crystallized, as the accelerated washing function is impaired even if the crystal is dissolved after dilution. eco•pro Neutral Fixer and eco•pro Hypo Wash working solution may be stored before and between uses, in a tightly closed glass, PET (PETE) or HDPE containers. Discard eco•pro Neutral Fixer when the processing capacity is reached. The processing capacity of eco•pro Neutral Fixer depends on the processing sequence being used. Processing capacity is indicated in the "Summary of recommended sequences" section for archival standards. Each liter of eco•pro Hypo Wash working solution (1+19) can process more than 50 8x10 prints. Discard eco•pro Hypo Wash working solution when capacity is reached, or it is stored for more than two weeks, to ensure archival washing quality. The archival processing capacity of eco•pro Neutral Fixer is much greater when the subsequent washing procedure incorporates treatment in eco•pro Hypo Wash. This is because the archival processing capacity is limited due to more fixing reaction byproducts formed in partially exhausted fixer. The byproducts are more difficult to wash out than the fixer itself, particularly from fiber based papers. The use of eco•pro Hypo Wash promotes the efficient removal of both fixer and fixing reaction byproducts from all photographic materials, thus increasing processing capacity of the fixer. eco•pro Neutral Fixer (concentrate) is a clear solution free of insoluble sediments. eco•pro Hypo Wash (concentrate) is a clear solution free of insoluble sediments, but it will develop white crystals if the solution is stored in contact with air (oxygen) for a prolonged period of time. When more than a few small crystals are formed, discard the solution.

Q: 6. Does this work with the PM 300 Picturemate printer?

A: Yes, this would work with the PM300. As well as the PictureMate: Charm PM225, Dash PM260, Flash PM280, Pal PM200, Snap PM240, Zoom PM290.

Q: 7. I live in warm climate the Caribbean to exact so my water temp are generally 25-29 degrees all the time. Can I use this developer to develop at such temperatures?

A: It is important when using this developer to get the temperature down to 20 C, or 68 F. When the temperature is higher it is necessary to greatly shorten the developing time, otherwise the paper can be over developed, and gray out the whites. A little ice can help to lower the temperature.

Q: 8. About how many prints could you make with this before it's exhausted? 5x7 or 8x10 size.

A: This developer does not seem to oxidize quickly. I cant give the exact number, but I have done 30 -8 x 10 prints without noticing an issue. I cant say enough great things about this developer.

Q: 9. Your description says mix 1:3 for fastest fixing. I thought it was 1:4. Which is correct?

A: Clearfix Neutral Fixer from Ecopro (formerly Silvergrain) may be mixed at 1 + 4 dilution for film, RC paper or FB paper, or mixed at 1 + 7 for use with RC paper only.

Q: 10. What is the shelf life once opened?

A: Adox only states about 12-24 months from the date of production because there are too many variables involved after a bottle if opened. Please take a look at the following link for more information from Adox about storage: https://bhpho.to/3X02ORM

[Inkjet prints] Good fixer. I haven't tested the claim that it requires shorter wash times, and just stick with what I normally do. But I do find it more pleasant to work with.

[1 quart / .95 L] This fixer works great and I enjoy that it’s a bit safer than other fixer products. I have used it with the Eco Pro developer and also with caffenol and other phenol developers.

[1 quart / .95 L] Works well and fixes negs in 5 mins or less. Lasts a long time/lot of film and iit doesn't stink/i. That is so very, very important when developing at home in the bathroom.

[1 quart / .95 L] I am beginning black & white pinhole photography again after several years off. I wanted darkroom chemicals that were easier to handle than powders and less toxic than the typical darkroom chemicals containing carcinogens like hydroquinone. Admittedly I only developed about five photos so far, but I am happy with the results! It works the same way as other developers that I have used. I use this developer in conjunction with: - Fomaspeed Variant III VC RC (resin coated) paper - Sprint Systems Block Stop Bath for B&W paper - Eco Pro Clearfix Neutral Rapid Fixer

[Inkjet prints] A friend told me about this Eco Pro line and I've now processed 24 rolls of 120 Tri-X with it. For the first time in nearly 40 years of darkroom work, I can work without that sharp, strong fixer odor. Clears quickly.
