The SWIT S-3602C Dual Charger for Canon BP-945/970Ghas two charging channels with 7-8.4 VDC, 2A output each for simultaneously charging two batteries. It is compatible with the SWIT S-8845/S-8945 and Canon BP-945/970G series DV batteries. Four-level LED charging indicators for each channel indicate the percentage of charge remaining.

The dual charger also has two 5.5/2.1mm DC pole sockets to provide 8.4V, 3.5A (total) DC adapting output. Both channels can simultaneously provide DC output to the connected cameras/accessories or one channel can be used to charge a battery by dropping it in, while the other can be used to adapt to a camera/accessory.

A: I'll answer my own question, just went to Swit's website. You can use the pins and the DC tap at the same time.

A: Compatibility for this is explicitly defined as being for smaller to 5200mAh batteries.

Q: 5. Will this charge both batteries at the same time? Or like the Sony which charges one then the other.

A: The chargers will charge two batteries at the same time.When I place one battery on the first slot, the lights come on and start blinking, then I placed the other battery on the second slot, and the same light sequence came on. Both slots work concurrently. Hope this helps.

[1.65 lb] I bought these for my Red Komodo. Although they are not officially a supported battery, so you do get a dialogue box at boot up. But the batteries have been great so far. I may even use the small DC pole out to power an onboard TV logics monitor. 5

[1.65 lb] This battery highly underestimates its own charge when using the button for status. Once used for a short while will read 75% when still near full on camera. 50% when nearing 90% on camera. and won't respond at all below 50% actual charge - of which the battery still has lots of life left. Curious quirk, otherwise great cells for shooting. 2 of these kept my C100 running for an entire 7am-5pm conference. 5

[1.65 lb] Bought an FX6 and the charger that came with the camera doesn't charge my old batteries. This charger was a good and reasonably priced alternative for dual charging and charges all my old batteries and new with no issues so far. All batteries seem to be holding their charges completely fine and run the slightly more power consumption FX6 for very long periods of time. Won't be using the DC power cable because the FX6 runs a different voltage than the last Gen cameras, but for charging batteries, works great so far. 5

[1.65 lb] Built quality is great, charges my Sony L-series batteries quickly as advertised. Charging two batteries at the same time doesn't seem to affect the charge rate of each -- so perfect when you have multiple empty ones to charge before a shoot! 5
