A: The mounting depth on this unit is not adjustable.

A: Yes it should, this case works with Flat Screen Monitors up to 22 inches. A 21.5 Inch monitor should fit in it fine.

Q: 4. Is the weight really 24 lbs? I'm hoping its a specs misprint.

A: It is most certainly a misprint since the actual packaged/shipping weight is 23 lbs. Unfortunately Gator doesn't publish the actual weight. Judging by the weight of other similar 3U drawers, it should be around 17-20 lbs +/-

Q: 5. Will this work with Auray's style rack drawers?

A: Yes the Gator Replacement Diced Foam Block for Rackworks Standard-Depth 2 RU Drawer is directly compatible with Auray 2RU rack drawers.

Q: 6. Is this case strong enough to use as checked luggage on an airplane?

A: I have a lot of confidence in the case but haven't flown with it. I would feel comfortable checking it as long as I added some extra, dense latex foam. If they throw anvil cases on top of it, you'd be in trouble because the large front and back sides are thin-ish plastic covered with strong cordura. The short sides and corners are very strong. I love the case but, again, haven't flown with it.

Q: 7. Are these full extension drawer slides?

A: The Gator Rackworks 10" Deep Rack Drawer (2 RU) is 10" deep, which is about how much the drawer will extend.

Q: 8. Does this rack blank have flanges on the top and bottom?

A: This rack blank has 4 screw holes one in each corner in order to screw it into the rack unit.

Q: 9. Is the finish painted or powder coated?

A: Not positive it's powder coated but it looks very similar to a more expensive panel I have that is powder coated. Good value!

Q: 10. Does it lock in place when completely pushed into rack?

A: There is a little catch when the shelf is pushed all the way in, offering some resistance. One would have to tug at it with just a bit of force to get it to come out. Officially however, there is no lock.

[1.7 lb] HEAVY but well made. Has punch-outs on the front and back which are very hard to see in photos. The front punch out is small, about the size of a pinky finger, the two rear punch outs are at least twice as large. Slides nicely and latches securely. I think it comes with rack screws, can't remember. 5

[1.7 lb] I got this for a 6U shallow rack for a sound system. It fits perfectly. I didn't realize it came with an optional lock and key that you can install in a punch-out. The drawer latches without the lock so I don't use it. Also, it came with grommets and punch-outs in the back for routing cables for charging devices in the drawer. 5
