The 1200mm RC KC Active Extension Tube from Schoeps is a Colette Active Extension Tube that terminates in a connector mounted on a flexible, 1.64’ (0.5m) Colette cable. This connector is screwed onto the microphone amplifier, which can then be mounted on the vertical support rod with a clamp or inserted into the cable path at a hidden position.

This arrangement is most useful when working in close quarters, where inadvertent movement at the rear of the microphone stand can disturb the alignment, or where the microphone amplifier body and cable connector can be objectionable and when the arrangement is not frequently changed.

The cable length should not exceed what is necessary, in order to avoid possible interference. This problem can be avoided by using a similar setup with a CCM-L microphone (sold separately).

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can I use it on 200mm 2.8L II to shorten the distance between me and my subject while doing portrait photography?

A: It's got minimum distance and maximum distance which is very limited and beyond which everything is blurry . This extender tube it's only for macro photography and nothing else !

Q: 2. Can the Canon tubes be stacked?

A: Yes, they can be stacked. I have used a 12 mm tube with a 25 mm tube, or two 25 mm tubes together. It is important to know that you'll lose the ability to focus to infinity. You'll gain the ability to focus closer than your lens's minimum focusing distance. You'll get some magnification as well. Generally, you might do this for macro work, or use combinations with large telephoto lens to focus closer to capture small birds for example.

Q: 3. Can i use CANON Extension Tube EF 25 II with my Canon 1Dx Mark II, Is it safe enough.....?

A: Yes you can. Completely compatible, but you must use a canon EF lens on the front end as well. I do prefer using a true macro lens versus an extender attached to a non-macro lens.

Q: 4. Will this help connect an EFS 24mm Lens to a 5D miii body?

A: Yes it will work but for focusing you have to be super close to your subject and the autofocus hunts a lot. If anything I would use this combo for stationary manual macro focusing only.

Q: 5. Can I use this extension tube on my Panasonic GH3?

A: Unfortunately, the Olympus EX-25 Extension Tube is not compatible with the Panasonic GH3. The GH3 has the micro four thirds mount, while the EX-25 has the four thirds mount, which are different mounts. For the GH3, you could use any of the extension tubes for micro four thirds cameras on the following link. http://bhpho.to/1cqhXir

Q: 6. Is this extension tube compatible with the Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens (not the L series)? I'll be using it on a Canon 5D Mark III

A: Yes it is. Actually I also own a Canon 100mm Macro no L series too and I use two extension tubes with it. However you might sacrifice a little bit of sharpness when using two of them, and the depth of view is very shallow at 2.8, so you may have to shoot at very small appertures to have a better depth of view. And with this, you'll have to use a flash gun to iluminate the subject, but here is one tip: if you already own a 430 EX, 580EX or any othe flashgun, just attach a piece of white blank paper at it to bounce the light from above. This creates enough light to expose the subjects and very soft and defuse light making it very natural. You can check my instagram @dvl80 for some samples of macro with the settings I'm mentioning. Regards!Davi

Q: 7. Mine doesn't seem to work. Tried it with a EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro L series and a Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L. Couldn't get it to focus no matter what I tried. What am I doing wrong?

A: It adjusts your backfocus to allow for a macro image. You will find that with a zoom, you can use your zoom control to help focus - it will change your focal plane. For fixed focal length lenses, you have to physically move to find the distance at which the target will be in focus, almost like you are using a lens with a nearly fixed focal distance. That's because you shifted the lens out of the focus plane

Q: 8. I have an E-620 Olympus with Zuiko Digital 14-45mm & 40-150mm lenses. Can this extension work with these lenses?

A: As far I know, yes. I used this on an E3 and an E500.All Olympus full size 4/3 bodies have the same lens mount

Q: 9. Does this work with a Zeiss 85 mm Milvus?

A: Hi Jim, I only have canon lenses. Works with them including my 85mm 1.8. Wider lenses give more depth of field.

Q: 10. Compatible with Canon SL3?

A: Yes.

[1.64' (0.50 m)] The H26mm ring couples with all the H-Series' electronics and is a precision made part, typical for Hasselblad. With a 100 mm lens it permits focus on a 4 to 6 wide object in order to fill the frame width. I use this ring for extreme close up photographs of products and flowers.

[1.64' (0.50 m)] I bought this to breath some new life into my old camera without having to shell out for a separate lens. It works! All lens power functions work. Focusing is tricky, but should be done manually anyway in macro photography. The only thing I have noticed is that I have to move my lens so close to the subject that it is almost impossible to avoid casting a shadow. I am starting to experiment with using my hot shoe flash off camera to illuminate subjects, but will probably just end up buying a dedicated macro flash unit.

[Matte gray (G)] I needed a fairly cheap but high quality tool for some occasional closeup photography. The Hasselblad extension tube proved to be right.

[Matte gray (G)] I have a 1:2 macro lens and decided to buy an extension tube to make it a 1:1 macro lens. The extension tube does just what it says. It works great on flowers and I can't wait to use it on some bugs which is my favorite thing to photo. I would recommend this to anyone.

[Matte gray (G)] Hi everyone, this extension tube is the right size, using together with the 50-110 to shoot small products, no micro/macro, but small cups, boxes, parfums, etc... The DOF decreases a lot, but with more lighing you can improve it. Good for beauty and portrait photography too. Go for it! Cezr Motta

[1.64' (0.50 m)] Great addition to my 50mm Macro lens. Creepy critters get even creepier with this very close focus. Good build, and solid fit. Auto-focus does not work in most instances. Recommend manual focus anyway for very close pictures.
