The One Task 1T-CT-654A HDMI over CAT5e/6 Receiver employs HDMI v1.4 capability and HDBaseT 5Play technology to allow transmission of uncompressed, 1080p high-definition television signals over a single CAT5e or CAT6 cable. It receives HDMI v1.4 signals that include 3D and 4K UHD formats, and also allows DVI signal transmission with appropriate DVI-to-HDMI cable adapters.

The 1T-CT-654A Receiver also features embedded 7.1 channel LPCM, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS-HD Master Audio capability. It can achieve signal distribution to distances up to 325’ for uncompressed 1080p signals without signal degradation. The PoH (Power Over HDBaseT) technology is employed to allow powering of the receiver from the 1T-CT-653 Transmitter (sold separately), avoiding the need for a separate power supply for that unit.

If you wish to use the WT-1T on an older Sony Alpha camera that uses the (now discontinued) Minolta Auto-Lock hot shoe design, you may purchase the Sony Auto-Lock Shoe Adapter, B&H # SOADPAMA, to connect the Metz WT-1T to your camera. Q: 8. Do I have to use an HDMI distribution amplifier with these or can I simply run my source directly into the transmitter?

A: I am not using any kind of signal amplification over a 70 ft CAT6 run, and I haven't had any trouble. If you're getting near the stated max run length, it might be prudent, but otherwise, you should be fine.

Q: 9. Does the LAN connection carry network traffic? Can I use the LAN connection to access my network?

A: According to the manufacturer, there is network control on the LAN connection.

Q: 10. Have a Sony HVL60 Flash. Would like to make this flash totally wireless without purchasing the HVL60-FM wireless unit. Will both units work with a Sony RX10M4 camera?

A: You would need a minimum of two WT-1T units: one for the camera and one for the HVL-F60M flash. It is possible that is can work on the RX10 Mark IV, but it has not been tested to our knowledge.
